Aleena Wallace There is a room in my house that contains two large bookshelves. When I asked my mom what book she thought I would enjoy reading, she handed me a book called The Lovely Bones. I had no idea what it was about, but because she insisted on me reading it, I decided to give it a try. In the first 30 pages of The Lovely Bones, fourteen year old Susie Salmon is raped and killed by her neighbor, Mr. Harvey. The rest of the book depicts the effect of Susie's death on her family and friends. It was fascinating reading from the perspective of someone that was dead, yet the plot revolved entirely around this person that was dead. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading books that contain drama or crime, because while Susie's family and friends are all trying to figure out who killed Susie, they faced their own personal problems and experiences along the way.

Anghell You know.. for the most part I really enjoyed Lovely Bones. It was the.. stupid "ice" scene (hopefully you know what I mean.. I don't want to ruin it for someone).. that ruined it for me. Absolutely ridiculous. lol

Rebecca I thought this book was horrible, not well written at all. It's a shame really because the premise had definite promise.

Gail Pallotta The thing that struck me about this book was the lack of hope.
