I read this book for the ATY 2019 reading challenge Week 4: A criminal character.
Poor Young, her life crumbles because of greed. The greed of money. The greed of wanting a normal child. The greed of wanting the best for one's child. The greed of wanting to change the world. Everyone is a victim in this book. No one is a perp, but their actions make it seem so. I read that the lawyers were impeccably ethical. Really?! I was not so certain and neither was Elizabeth. Perhaps this book truly imitates life. What do you think?
