I should mention even though the story is about a 15 year old girl this is not a YA story and is mature. I wouldn't recommend it for our under 18 readers!

No not a true story at all, but it reads like one is being told. At least I felt that way. It's not a scary book, I wasn't afraid while I read it. It has violence and and it makes you question how you feel about the characters. In some ways it makes me think of , but darker.

That is definitely the vibe I am getting!!!! I kinda hate how much I am enjoying it.....this is a great Author.

Cool, I'm glad you get that autobiography kind of feel to the writing. Prologue (view spoiler)[That was quite an opening prologue. It's a shocking opener and I found myself a little teary eyed; an emotional pull with not even knowing the story that leads to it. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 25 I love how she tells the whole story of a person past present and future and it doesn't distract or take away from the timeline...

Kind of close from memory, because I loved that part so much. Read it more than once. Okay, okay, I know right!!! Yes there is a book two coming out in the spring (view spoiler)[I went as crazy as you did! I was happy that in the end she was married to Tommy/Grunt and then bam like a sledge hammer to the head Tommy looks like a bad guy and we have a bunch of unanswered questions. Well it looks like the genius that Tommy is he was manipulating everything?? Now with that said, my head has been going over and over and I have to throw a bunch of questions and guessing your way. So Grizz finds out from Blue that Grunt set him up 1 week before the execution, yet at the execution he gives Tommy a nod with his head. Almost like approving, does he accept that his son outsmarted him? If Grizz had a lot of power in prison showing him in an office playing chess with Blue, could he of somehow faked his death? Did he turn names and is going into witness protection? Maybe he wants Tommy to believe all is well, but in book two watch out?? Okay, Grizz is probably really dead and my mind is going too far. LOL The next book seems to be from Tommy's point of view so we will see how calculated he was. To hear that he was the one who suggested the billy club not Grizz then he manipulated Kit into taking her virginity. OMG!

What do you think the two secrets are? One about Delia she said didn't surprise her. Do you think Delia knew where she was all along? And what is it that Grizz told Leslie for her article? Is it that Tommy is his son? I'm guessing Tommy knew all along his dad was really Grizz and that Grizz used Blue as the older brother to protect Tommy from Grizz's enemies. If his enemies knew he had a son he would be in danger. We see how Tommy/Grunt is shocked that Grizz would marry Ginny/Kit because it put her in danger with his enemies and he tells her to watch out. The questions in this book had my mind in overload. Sorry for the rambling LOL (hide spoiler)]

It was only the Sister Katherine at the church that pushed the missing issue. I agree with you, Erika, but I think we are getting the view of an young 15 year old and I think a lot is explained as you go further. (view spoiler)[I couldn't believe how stupid she was for getting on that bike, but she didn't have a normal upbringing and basically was raising herself. And the gift is explained further ;) I think in the beginning I was completely shocked at how calm she was in her situation. I would of freaked out. I think Candy was his mom, she was a messed up druggy so Grizz took Tommy away from her, but when he brought him to the hotel he decided to go with Blue being his brother to protect Tommy/Grunt from any of Grizz's enemies and to keep him from taking over the business or getting in more trouble from the police. He didn't want anyone to know that Mimi is his daughter either. We see the danger they could be in when Kit is raped for being Grizz's wife. I think Tommy looks like a snake now, but I think we will learn a lot twists for why he did what he did in the next book. Can't wait! (hide spoiler)]

That Originally Griss just wanted to look out for 6 year old Kit.....then when he got Tommy back years later he wanted Tommy to fall in love with her. This is why he took Tommy with him so he could still watch out for her.....only it back fired because as she grew up HE fell in lover with her and wanted to keep her as his her own.......He let Tommy stay in love for the reason he let all of them....in case he needed someone to watch out for her later.....Is that too Crazy...this book!!!!!
