Thinking about going with Philippa Gregory for this one! She has a few I haven’t read yet. There’s also Terry Pratchett I think? Surely he has written more than 20!

Atwood should count here since they specify 20 books not 20 novels. "Since 1961, she has published 17 books of poetry, 16 novels, 10 books of non-fiction, eight collections of short fiction, eight children's books, and one graphic novel, as well as a number of small press editions in poetry and fiction."
Just to note, you really can't depend on Goodreads to give you a quick accurate number of how many books someone has written, especially if you don't think a single ebook short story or the foreword to someone else's book should "count" toward that number. Goodreads also sometimes mistakenly counts translations as separate works. (Popsugar seems to have made some errors along these lines, as far as their suggestions go.)
I'll read one of the few left by Mercedes Lackey that I haven't read yet. Probably will finally start her Hunter series.
Mary Beth wrote: "Goodreads also sometimes mistakenly counts translations as separate works...."This is down to the way users have added them (as distinct works rather than adding another edition). When I spot stray editions I always combine them with the main listing, but as someone who only speaks English it's sometimes hard for me to be 100% certain a translation is the same book.
Jo Nesbo could be a good one for those still going through the Harry Hole series. Headhunters was also really good (standalone)
I was going to go with Stephen King but I’m just finding out that Holly Black has written more then 20. I think Cassandra Clare also fits this category as well.
I been wanting to read something by Douglas Preston. He has written more than 20 books (or co-written) so I might use him for this prompt.
Wilbur Smith, I love his Courtneys of Africa series (I think they are just under the count for the more than 20 in a series prompt, stopping at 18)John Sandford, author of the Prey series (which makes the cut for series of more than 20 books, at 31)
Jean Plaidy, whose real name was Eleanor Alice Burford/Mrs. George Percival Hibbert, and who is the same person as Victoria Holt and Philippa Carr - as Plaidy she wrote a lot on the Tudor family, similar to Philippa Gregory

David Eddings I believe has over 20, and I really highly recommend his Belgariad/Mallorean series for those who love fantasy. Some of his early works were non-fantasy, but I can't remember which genre they actually were!
Does Toni Morrison count? Trying to figure this out - 11 novels, 6 children's books, then non-fiction and plays...so that must take it over 20.If so, I'm reading The Bluest Eye
according to wikipedia:Isabel Allende Gabriel García Márquez Joy Fielding Émile Zola Paul Theroux Susan Elizabeth Phillips Lewis Carroll Paulo Coelho Banana Yoshimoto Karin Slaughter Cecelia Ahern (including short stories) Marian Keyes Frederica de Cesco Sabine Thiesler Kerstin Gier
I'll probably read something by Dick Francis--he's one of my go-to authors when I want a good suspense novel.
