I am renowned for my inability to find my way round websites. I recently joined this group and would like to start participating, but I can't see how to add my books to the Library. So the next question will be how do I find other books in the Library from which to choose any to review? Thanks and all best, Sylvie

Hi, Sylvie, lovely to see you want to add your novels; I really enjoy your writing and I'm sure some other members will too. I'll give a few instructions here that you and others (I hope) can follow. I remember that feeling of 'what?' and 'how?' and 'where?' when I first joined GR, so you're not the only one who needs a few pointers now and again.
To post that you want your own book added, follow this link:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
You'll see the posts other members have made about their novels, so just add a post in the same kind of way, telling us about the novel(s) you want to make available for reviews.
I will add your book(s) to the group's bookshelf. To browse the bookshelf click on the Bookshelf link that you will see in the list of links top right of every page (under the Group Home link).
If you want a review copy follow the link for the author's page. You can browse either the posts in this section or the bookshelf to find what you fancy then click on the name and PM (private message) them to arrange for a copy to be sent to you. The author will add a post here:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...
by clicking the New Topic link (top right).
When you post a review to GR and wherever else you've agreed (usually just Amazon) add the GR review link in a post here:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...
(the same place we saw the 'review copy sent out' message the author posted) to let us know it's there for us to read.
Shout out if you have any problems or something is still not clear.

Thanks Jay. Quite a lot to take in, but I think I'll manage it over the next couple of days!/
I'm not going to be taken in by your 'little old lady' act, Sylvie ;) You write and publish your own books, something that is way beyond the technical capabilities of a lot of much younger people I know; they throw up their hands in defeat before they've tried to learn the process. You take your time and slowly get there, one tiny step at a time - but you get there. And you also have the wisdom to know when you need to ask questions, when to ask for help. I wish you'd pass your secret on to my mother (she won't even type an email).
Second that. I have tremendous respect, now, for folks who have managed to navigate the wilderness of cover art, editing, Goodreads, publicity, KDP, Createspace, and all that other Stuff besides writing! It ain't easy!

You told me to follow the link you gave me and to add a post about the book I wanted to add. Do I do this right at the end of the posts and comments already there? And where do I add that I want it to be discussed, etc. I tell you the 'little old lady' business is no joke!
Jay wrote: "Isn't stuff' a wonderful word..."Yes...
1) Things, undefined.
2) Put it in a turkey.
3) Get stuft.
Very versatile!

Just add a post in exactly the same way as you've done here, Sylvie, and put in the post that discussion is fine. Follow the style of the ones that are already there ;)

Resounding sigh of relief...
