2025 & 2026 Reading Challenge discussion

I'm curious to see what everyone thinks of this series! I finished the series this year, and it was one of the few times that I watched the movies before reading the books. Quite different, overall...

I have read angels and demons before and the davinci code but wanted to re-read them. I would continue the series if someone else wants to.

I finished the book. Gave it a 4 stars.

(view spoiler)[Well written. Had me guessing who was/were the culprit. I though Kohler had something to do with it, especially about him branding the carmelengo which I couldn't believe a man frail in a wheelchair would do that. he was but he wanted the truth about his friend. The Carmelengo was a sick man, was fed with religion his whole life by his mother. The kicker - the Pope had a child and that it was him.
I thought he would step up and prepare himself to become the next Pope but sets himself on fire, that was unexpected. The characters were great and I really like Vittoria, she spoke her mind and was feisty. (hide spoiler)]

I finished the book and gave it 4 stars as well. It was a really fast read.

I love this entire series and they could not have picked a better actor for the part of Robert Langdon.

I am working my way through this series, and have read three of the 5 so far. I think one of the best parts about this series is it does a great job of describing the cities that they take place in. This makes it very fun to go to those places around the time of reading it. It was awesome to go to the Vatican right after reading this book and play out scenes from the book in my head.

Angels and Demons is personally my favorite of the three I have read to date.

I also love the descriptions in the books about the places (and history). The author does a wonderful job bringing it all to life, and has done a lot of of research to bring it all together.

I'm glad I went back and read the books even though I had seen at least a couple of the movies. They are both good in their own right, but the books are definitely better in my opinion.

I got behind in my reading so I am still working on this but I have read it before. I forgot how quickly it goes and you can just picture what is going on as you read with the detail in the book. Really enjoying it again.

I love the descriptions as well. The author does a great job of describing the cities as well as the characters. I was fascinated by all of the information in the book.
