I sometimes think that when Sebastian is on the quest for a murderer, he doesn't think of the consequences of the danger he's in. It's amazing to me that Hero gets him, even when she must be in a spot between terror for him and confidence in him.
Sometimes he seems almost reckless, which puzzles me. He’s got a wife and son to be concerned about.
Agreed. It seemed there for a couple of books that he'd at least stop pursuing a bad guy and go home because of thoughts of his new family but I guess he's over that now. I was hoping to have a scene after he gets shot in Ashworth's house where Hero lays into him with her fear and concerns about his reckless approach but it didn't happen. There wasn't enough Sebastian and Hero page time in this one for me, sadly.
I'm confused with the path Sebastian is going now. I did think that his concern for his family was stronger than putting himself in danger. I expect him to continue his quest, but to have some kind of backup. He is still a loner in his quests for justice. This is one area that bothers me a lot. You can only avoid death so many times. He is lucky that his wounds don't hit vital organs, but how many times can that happen. Also, as many times as his face is part of the battle, with hot wax, a knife, etc. how can he still be so pretty?
Sebastian went into the search for the killer wholeheartedly because of Stephanie. He loves her and was determined to find the killer and clear her name.I think he was a nuisance to the Russians, and they wanted to make sure he didn't find anything incriminating even though if one of them had killed Ashworth nothing could have been done to them.
