Nikita Who here loves Fruits Basket? The manga, 2001 anime and 2019 anime?

I am a big fan of it all. So excited that the 2019 series is made and will not only have the whole manga story but will complete too.

Nikita Fruits Basket tells the story of Tohru Honda, an orphan girl who, after meeting Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure Soma, learns that twelve members of the Soma family are possessed by the animals of the Chinese zodiac and are cursed to turn into their animal forms when they are hugged by the opposite sex. As the series goes on, Tohru learns of the struggles the Somas face and endure, and through her own good nature, helps heal them.

It's a great, emotional and wonderful series

It's not, I actually don't remember how the title came to be but it has a meaning in both the manga and anime. It's about acceptance I think. You should watch the show, the first season is on Hulu and Funimation. And try to find the manga
