Juli and I will be reading the third and final book in the Chronicle of the One trilogy, The Rise of Magicks by Nora Roberts starting around Wednesday!

I hope I can manage by Wednesday. If not, I will for sure start Friday :)

Sorry I've been away from GR for a few days. I will definitely, absolutely be starting tomorrow. I have 10% left of Of Blood and Bone and 25% left in my audiobook so I should be able to start listening to Rise of Magicks tomorrow. :) Have you started it?

I would love to join you. Unfortunately, I am #5 on hold of the audiobook from the library, so I think I will not get it for at least 3 weeks. Then it won't take long for me to finish it and I can join in on the conversation.

I started listening to it yesterday and I'm on Ch. 6. (view spoiler)[A couple of years have gone by. Fallon is not quite 20. Nothing much has happened since she killed Eric. Hmm...

I don't know why Fallon and Duncan are fighting so hard to not be attracted to each other. They've seen themselves in the future, it's gonna happen. It's FATE.

But a big thing I don't like is this whole Fallon is a virgin but Duncan has sowed his wild oats. Not a fan of that stereotype TROPE (is that the word I'm looking for?) of the girl is a virgin, pure, untouched but the boy does what he wants. So antiquated and just plain wrong. (hide spoiler)]

Ugh Elyse I'm with you on that!!! I hate those tropes!

I listened to the book quite a bit yesterday but really feel I missed a bunch. I am starting over.

I've made it to Ch. 13 and I'm not surprised you missed a lot because this book is happening SO quickly. The second book was pretty slow and descriptive but this book is like BOOM battle, BOOM battle, all over before you know it!

I just finished. I really liked this book. It was fast paced and action packed. Can't wait to hear what you think.

Yes I did. I liked them, even though I am not big on dystopian novels. And yes, I would like another recommendation.

This was her first foray into the fantasy genre outside some romances she wrote with fantasy features.

I can give recommendations on her fantastical romance series, general romance novels, or some of her suspense novels. What would you like?

You know, I always thought she just stuck to romance. Was surprised at her other genres. How about a suspense recommendation?

YESSSSSSSSS! I will search my read-shelf to find one. I have one in mind - it was my introduction to her - but I read it in German and can't remember the English title. Bear with me!
