2020 is a leap year. This means we all get an extra day to read in February.

I think we all need to take advantage of the extra day and read something a little "extra". All nominated books for February 2020 need to be historical fiction that is 500 pages in length or longer. The page length will be determined by the most popular edition on Goodreads. This means if you nominated a book that you have a physical paperback copy of and that book has 510 pages but the most popular edition on Goodreads is the hardcover version with only 490 pages, the book will NOT count. Moderators will not be researching every available edition of a book to see if it does in fact have one version with 500+ pages.

REMINDERS
NO SELF NOMINATIONS - Self-nominations will automatically be deleted and members may be removed from the group.
NOMINATIONS MUST INCLUDE TITLE AND AUTHOR TO BE COUNTED - If your nomination does not include titled AND author it will not be counted.
ALL MEMBERS GET ONE NOMINATION AND ONE SECOND - Please clearly state if you are seconding a book. When the thread gets full of extra chatter, moderators have a difficult time keep track of which books need to be counted on the poll.
All of the nomination procedures and rules can be found here -
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

The bookshelf containing all of our previous group reads can be found here:

This is the third book in a series. We have only read the first book. We need to read two as a group before we can read threes. This nomination won't count.
