I just read "The Cruel Romance" by Marina Osipova. A friend sent it to me from Australia. It was a good book.
One of my friend’s favorite books of all time is “Lilac Girls” so I read that for this prompt. I really enjoyed the differing perspectives
My reader friend lives too far to borrow me a physical book, could it be a book they have at home and recommended to me? She told me one title that I could find here easily... It's Persuasion, from Jane Austen.
Yes! Due to the coronavirus, I didn’t actually “borrow” from a friend. She told me one she was reading for her bookclub and I read it. Too bad I didn’t like it and found out later she didn’t either.
Due to the times I think that is appropriate. A friend of mine in Australia actually did send me a book in the mail. She said I can keep it, but I am calling it my borrowed book, she had it first.
