has anyone finished this yet and is the christianity strong in this one? I've already bought my copy but am reluctant to actually read it.

Ugh I'm already disappointed in the choice of woman. She's pretty damn irritating and I'm only 15% in.

I kind of liked the Queen. But I don't really care who he is with! LOL just that he IS with someone!!!! yaaaaaaay *does Snoopy wiggle dance* I'm soooo glad this series is still going!!!
OMGOMGOMGOMG I just finished and I am hyperventilating.I must look a mess. My hubby looks at me like I grew horns or something.
I am so much in love with this series is maddening.
What could be next?? We have 3 couples to choose from:
Cameo and Lazarus, Gilly and William (mmmmmmyyyeaaaahhh) or Hades and Taliah ?????
Whatever it is it will be awesome I just know it. What won't be awesome is the year log waiting arghhhhh

I have a feeling it's gonna be William and Gilly ( I really hope so also) haha!
Why did you get Hades and Taliah? Was it mentioned that they were somewhat involved?
Concerning some people not liking the Red Queen, I like her fine, but I can see where you're coming from. Keeley's personality was really similar to Anya and Kaia's so there was no originality there...

Well I just had a hunch about Taliah and Hades because she was the one in the Fortress in the Realm of Blood and Whatever, when Keys went to talk to Hades about his imprisonment of Galen and Torin.
I think she was chained or something.

OMMMMMG THAT WAS HER?? But wow he treated her terribly! Didn't he completely ignore her as soon as Keely showed up? LOL

Yeah it was her, who else. That's why the Lords moved back in Budapest because Taliah wanted that other fortress. Anyway, yeah, he kind of brushed her off when Keely showed up. But who knows, stranger things have happened??!? And I've warmed up to Hades a little in this book, most at the end.
I knew that was Taliyah! And I have the feeling William and Gilly book may be next (I hope so), I have been waiting a long time for their book. Keeley character was a little bit annoying and childish, she was like an Anya wannabe, there was a lack of originality there, but over all, I didn't hated her.
anybody else pre-order from Amazon and not get their copy yet? I am so ticked off! It has not even shipped! I am chomping at the bit to read this and I should have received it by now. sooo frustrated!

I've finished the book and am glad that Gena's style seems to be back (no more preaching and no more "we should wait until we're married" or fade-to-black sex-scenes thank god), but I wasn't too impressed with either of the lead characters. I also think that Willy is up next, but I'd be happy with Cameo/Lazarus as well :D

Priscilla, Gena posted on her FB page that the books were in a warehouse in Buffalo. All paper shipments were delayed by about a week because of the snow.

thank you, Rachel! I did not see that post. did not even think of the fact that they have to get from the publisher to the retail location. oh well...here's to hoping it comes soon!

O.k. . . . Am I the only one who can't WAIT for Galen's and Legion's book??? That also goes for Cameo/Lazarus and William/Gilly. Too much pressure and too much waiting.
I just finished Torin's book and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Keeley wasn't my favorite character but I didn't hate her or anything, just kinda got tired of the whole ''Queen of fucking everybody and everything''I was really, really happy we got some steamy scenes again!!! I've been dying for those. Still, Torin's mouth could have been a little dirtier ;)
I loooved all the Gilly and William hints. If those two don't end up together after all this teasing...HEADS. WILL. ROLL.
I wish there would have been more William. I miss him.
I also loved all the Cameo and Lazarus moments. Who knew he'd be that hot!!
Jessica wrote:''O.k. . . . Am I the only one who can't WAIT for Galen's and Legion's book???'' No, you're definitely not!! I'm so excited for those two. I loved how everyone has started calling her Honey. So sweet.

Uh . . . thank you. Yes, they gave her the cutest name ever. Honey :)

No! I'm waiting for them, too. :)

:)!!!
just read the book. I think that torin's story is one of my favorite of the series. torin used to be one of my least favorite lords, but after getting to know him and keys, I think that he is one of my favorites now.

I've read about 1/3 of the book and so far I'm not impressed.I know this is romance. It has never been my reason for reading this series but I know this will play a big role.
But seriously, it's so annoying in this book. All we get is "She's hot", "He's gorgeous", "I want to touch him", "I want to touch her" and so on. There is hardly any real conversation because all we hear is how attracted they are to each other.
Oh, an there is constant denial from the characters. "He did this but NOT because he was attracted to her", "She thought XY but NOT because she wanted to touch him" etc.
Is this supposed to make me root for them or create chemistry between them? So far I feel nothing and am actually really bored with the plot.
I'm always hoping we'll get more Cameo.
Oh, and I'm so pissed that Torin was perfectly fine with her threatening to kill his friends. He couldn't really be mad because, you know, she's so hot.
So far I don't really like the story.
I hate when a characters puts some chick (or guy) above friends he has known for year. It's the same with Torin. He now gives a fuck about his friends and all that matters is Keely. It's even their fault that he was never allowed to fight. Not that he could have started a plague or anything. But oh well, he didn't care about that anyway in his story because he was constantly touching Keeley without his gloves, especially in the beginning.
When Cameo came back, one of his oldest friends and a former lover, she is in bad shape and of course he is concerned about her (I'm glad he even showed any reaction since all that matters now is Keeley). But the Red Queen is pissed because he ignored her for five minutes to look after his friend? How bitchy is that? Oh, and now Cameo isn't allowed to speak with Torin alone because Keely will be wherever Torin is.
Of course, the Lords were a bit sceptical about Keeley but now everyone loves her. We also get a cheesy marriage proposal and so on.
We all knew Torin's heroine would somehow be immune to his disease and not become a carrier. But guess what Keeley has to do to achieve that? "Consume" his blood or semen (!) every other day. How ridiculous is that? Is that supposed to be a sexy solution to his dilemma? I was just rolling my eyes when I read that.
Torin also didn't feel like Torin. He was just a fighting Lord like all the others. Nothing special about him. But he and his story should have been special.
I didn't like the hints about William and Gilly. He needs a real woman not a child (and I'm not only talking about her age).
I really like Cameo but was annoyed by the "I hate him but he's so hot" theme. I hope this won't continue in her book.
I liked the parts with Baden and Hades is an interesting character as well.
There hasn't been much discussion about this book even though it was one of the most anticipated. So what did you think?

I've recently read this book. I liked it overall and my favorite parts were, without a doubt, all the secondary plots going on. The thing I love the most in lengthy series is how the family/friends bonds develop and matter. I liked seeing them act in sync at a certain point. But like Sarah here, I didn't think the romance part was that thrilling or special, considering who Torin is and how long he had been waiting.
I was glad Torin found love and I would always cheer up for his HEA but, in a way, I think it wasn't the magical relationship I expected.
I hope the next book will be more emotionally strong than this one. I have the feeling the sex parts - no matter how sexy, hot, interesting, necessary - are too artificial in a way. I don't know if you get my meaning, but maybe less and better would be something more suitable than many and repetitive. I don't know, maybe I'm picky...
I'd never stop reading this series but as with everything, some stories "feel" better to me than others.
I finally read this lol. I'm way behind everyone. Overall, I thought it was OK, not a favorite. I liked Torin and Keeleycael but I did get tired of their constant breaking up and making up.
I did like the appearances by all the previous couples and the forward movement on the story arc. Hades . . . hmm . . . I sort of like him but I'm going to have a hard time seeing him as a H. He's not evil/evil like Lucifer but still, he's not a good guy. At all. I would have liked more information on his and Keeley's engagement. How exactly did they meet? How long were they engaged before he betrays and sells her? Years, decades or centuries? Bizarre that all of a sudden he wanted her back as soon as she escaped her prison. That just didn't ring true given that he let her rot for centuries.
Also, can anyone explain why she was called the Red Queen? Did I miss the explanation for that? (I kept seeing her as a character in Alice in Wonderland and it bothered me lol.)
Oh and Hades and Tally! That bedroom scene when Keeley popped in. That was Taliyah the Harpy????I could imagine them together. Maybe she recognized him as her Consort ages and ages ago but his "control issues" kept them apart? She was so icy and remote in Gwen/Sabin's book.
I'm about 25% in and I'm loving this one but I will admit, Torin does seem to have a different characterization in this one that all the previous books. He seems weaker to his demon that ever before... and he seems conceited and arrogant and bloodthirsty... but we shall see.

Yes, it's weird when characters suddenly are "out of character" in their own story but I'm glad you still enjoy this one.Keep us postet about your thoughts. :-)
