He was a mess and his Team Leader and the whole team know it. In Reality he never would have been allowed to be a part of the operation. I also think that in reality the military would have been called in. In the story he was very determined and his emotions were very real. I loved the way their story was told throughout the book. That really impacted me the most.
This entire series has been unrealistic in the fact that no team members have been removed from ops due to conflict of interest or being or the missions being too personal. He probably would have gone rogue. His desperation was so intense and the team having his back made the story for me. I was scared right along with him.
I believe you two are absolutely right about him not being able to be part of the op, though I don’t know how these specialty units work, especially abroad.
Cross did an amazing job of capturing Adam’s agony and the team’s support. It was very male and I felt everything. Fine piece of writing.

I agree that in the real world, Adam wouldn't be able to be a part of the rescue. However, I love the way the author showed us all that Adam was going through and how the team were really his brothers. I loved it.I loved the way their backstory was told also, Anita. The present day story was so intense, it helped to bring my breathing back to normal! I think it also helped us understand Summer.
I love how in every book we get to experience the brotherhood of this unit. They literally have to have each others’ backs when on a mission but it’s great to see how they support each other in downtime.
