Post-partum depression is really tough, even for the most grounded women. Summer wanted a baby so much and when she lost it and then the miscarriage, she just spiraled into clinical depression. She knew that this was her problem to fix and her way to do that was to put distance between her and Adam. Adam was a champ not to give up on her and them.
Yep what Anita said. I don’t think Adam could have done anything differently. His job kept him away, not his fault, but she threw that in his face. He tried to be supportive she shut him out. He gave her space she resented it. He was at a loss what to do. He never gave up on her.
I think it was something she had to do herself too. My Mom went through something almost identical to this and when she was pregnant with me she was terrified. When she told me her story, I was amazed at how she could deal with it. Everything Summer went through alone tore at my heartstrings. I think Adam did everything he could to support her and in my opinion, he did great never giving up.
