We didn’t know much about Adam and Summer coming into this story. After learning of their history, did it change your way of thinking about them as a couple? How well did the author do in getting you to care about them?

Absolutely. Knowing the real reasons for their problems made me root for them and really respect Adam for not letting them go. Cross did an amazing job making me care deeply for them.

I loved their story. It was different. I was so into it both past and present.

I was blown away when I discovered Summer had delivered a stillborn child. I felt like bawling during that scene and to think she had to go through that alone. Tore me up.

I thought the stories of how they met and their courtship were just lovely. No wonder Adam wanted to fight for that relationship.

I love the way the author told us their story. When she was delivering that stillborn baby, I cried ugly tears. And to have to deal with that alone...such a strong woman.

I also loved their backstory. It was told so well and made me want everything to work out for them.
