Ugly. Pretty. Special. Extra. Lovers! discussion

Hey all ,
I am reading uglies now ,
and I am wondering .
If all the Uglies live in the ugliville and receive a plastic surgery at the age of 16 and move to the pretty part of the town ,
so the teachers in the uglieville are pretties too , or uglies refused the operation ?
and the parents of those uglies are pretties or uglies too ?
the when the pretties have children , those children live in pretty town or ugliville ?
I just can't imagine a town filled with children less than 16 years old without single adult !
Anyone can solve this mystery for me?

If you keep reading, you'll find out that there are different cities for different ages. Everyone is ugly until 16, then everyone moves to the pretties area, where they stay throughout their twenties. Then they go to different pretty towns based on their profession. There is a family part of town, where pretty parents have ugly children. After a few years with their parents, the children are sent off to Uglyville.
