My name is Kelly and I am a librarian at Collegedale Public Library. I am going to read Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. I am also listening to The Testaments by Margaret Atwood. I had re-read The Handmaid's Tale for banned books month in October in anticipation of this book. Happy reading to all!
I haven't decided yet. Possibly red white and Royal blue. It's not fair that it won two categories so we have one less option.
it looks like i'll be doing will my cat eat my eyeballs since it's the first one i'm interested in to come available.
You'll have to let us know how that one is, Sara. Sara wrote: "it looks like i'll be doing will my cat eat my eyeballs since it's the first one i'm interested in to come available."
That looks interesting, Brooke!Brooke Marsh wrote: "I want to read "The Five" but I haven't gotten it yet."
I can't wait to hear about it! Cassidy wrote: "I think I will read "Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs." :)"
Hi!!! Thought I would try to get back into the CPL reading challenge again.....from far away in the frozen north that is Minnesota! I have several of the winners in my to be read queue, but I will start out with Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo. I am a BIG fan of her fantasy fic.
Glad that you are participating, Barbara! Barbara wrote: "Hi!!! Thought I would try to get back into the CPL reading challenge again.....from far away in the frozen north that is Minnesota! I have several of the winners in my to be read queue, but I will ..."
I'm late to the party, but this sounds like a fun challenge so I want to play along. I listened to The Institute January 1 - 3 and The Testaments January 4 - 6, but that was just a coincidence as I hadn't joined the challenge yet. So I'm going to read Shout as my "official" January 2020 book.
(Wails and gnashing of teeth)I wasn't able to finish listening to the audiobook of Ninth House before my time was up!!!! I had a 7 day checkout and simply could not get it done. Life is so inconvenient at times. Now I'm 133 on the wait list. Sadness is enveloping me. I may have to actually purchase the book.
Glad to have you on board, Sheri! Sheri wrote: "I'm late to the party, but this sounds like a fun challenge so I want to play along. I listened to The Institute January 1 - 3 and The Testaments January 4 - 6, but that was just a coincidence as I..."
Sounds like the perfect book for you, Paul! Paul wrote: "I just finished the cat eating eyeballs book. It had some helpful body disposal tips."

So, I got very lucky. Yesterday's Kindle deals included Ninth House for 3.99. Now I can finish it Kelly!
That book has a beautiful cover! How was it? Nikki wrote: "Five Feet Apart. Won the YA category I believe. Quickest book I could access via READS."
Will my cat eat my eyeballs was an easy and enjoyable read. The author is a mortician who wrote responses to questions kids frequently so her about dead bodies, funerals, and the like she handled the questions, odd and otherwise, with respect and humor. Although I wonder where the kids get some of their ideas. I recommend this book.
