The Strain discussion

i'm thinking of buying "The Strain",the plot is really intresting and i'm really into vampire stories(the scary ones)!i will propably gonna read it during Christmas Holidays but i'm not sure,it doesn't get the best feedback!Some other books that i really want to read to is Bird Box and Haunted(by Chuck Palahniuck)!There are 3 really different books but i want to have a variery of choices!have you read one of them?Which one is the best?

I've read both Bird Box and The Strain and enjoyed both of them! They're very different books, so I'm not sure I could pick a favorite. I guess I would go with Bird Box since it was a bit different.
I'll have to check out Haunted. Thanks for the suggestion!

Absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED The Strain Series, and i read them when they first came out. All three of them are outstanding. I read all kinds of books although horror is my favorite and these do not disappoint. I am always looking for a truly scary read and had gotten quite sick of the whole vampire love story crap, so this story was truly refreshing. I couldn't think of a better way to spend a vaca than reading these books...I may even read then a second time!!!

I read the Strain series and loved them, very hard to put down. I will get Bird Box and Haunted and come back to this site and let you know my thoughts.
