Archer is a precious human

What do people think of Reed and Archer so far? There hasn't been a ton of their development, but they become some of my fave characters in the series

Oh you know I love them both so much, but I adore Archer's character so much because he can be so incredibly brutal and scary, but also so, so soft. And the OCD rep in Reed's character? YES

I really love Reed, for some reason I just really love pirates and Reed is a perfect example of what makes them so much fun to read about (I will literally read any book if there are pirates in the premise) with his sense of adventure and grey moral compass. I like the way that his worries about the stories he created being passed on develops the world building with there being no writing to preserve your memory and you die.

YES he is the bestest Pirate and I LOVED the way he's obsessed with being a legend, like not wanting to be forgotten, it's so human

I just commented in the ch. 1-8 thread because I thought that was how much I've read but apparently I'm just about to start Chapter 16! Reed is my favourite thing about the books so far. I'm not connecting with Sefia and Archer at all yet; I find their story line a bit blah so far. Everyone's comments suggest to me Archer has a lot ahead for him so I'm curious about that. There are more characters and POVs than I was expecting. I'm really having to pay attention and check the map a lot, lol. I am curious about how they will all intersect, so back to reading.

YES Reed is so amazing and I love his growth so much! Yep there's a ton more to Archer in the series. But yeah there's so many POV, but also like those other chapters too!
