This challenge should be fun! We will be reading one book published in each decade from 1920 to 2020. It can be any type of book, as long as it was published in that decade.

If you need help there is a Listopia list divided by years: Best books of the decades

1920
1930
1940
1950
1960
1970
1980
1990
2000
2010
2020

Thank you Lea Ann for the idea!

1930s - Our Town

It is interesting to read a play instead of watching it.

I loved Pipi Longstocking when I was little (being a red headed, freckled child).
Did you enjoy the book?

Yes, I did end up enjoying the book. I had never actually read the book before now but always wanted to.

I need to get back to checking off this list.

I have enjoyed this challenge.

I finished 1940s, Brideshead Revisited. I am not sure I got the point of the story so I had a bit of a struggle to get through it.

I had fun with this challenge. I got all but 1960.
It was interesting to see all the different writing styles and the changes in what was written.

Lea Ann (buntingla) | 767 comments I liked this challenge too, even if I didn't complete it.

Karin | 415 comments I liked the challenge as well. I lost interest in reading the books I set aside for this challenge but I am going to try again next year.
