Rick Tippins | 7 comments Let em fly people. I won't be able to read more than 20 or 30 books this year with my writing regiment, but I'm always looking for new and exciting books.

Bon Aqua | 1 comments After the Snow Began to Fall
by Robert Butler

D.E. Haworth (dehaworth) Currently reading “Legend” Marie Lu. I like the theme of the book and the overall story. The romance side ... meh. But I get it is part of the YA Dystopian genre.

Banna | 2 comments I’m planning on reading more classics this year, including many Shakespeare plays, Dante, Charles Dickens, and many other classics authors. I’m also planning on finishing the Cassandra Clare books by the end of this month. I read a lot of dystopian fiction this past year, so I am trying to also focus on things that aren't just dystopian fiction. :)

Valerie | 2 comments I am starting "MaddAddam", the third of Margaret Atwood's trilogy (have already finished "Oryx and Crake" and "The Year of the Flood". An amazing dystopian series! I have also just started "FKA USA" by Reed King, another dystopian novel - so far it is both dark and darkly humorous, which I appreciate. Next on deck is "The Memory Police" by Yoko Ogawa. And many, many more! Good Readings! Val

Annabeth. That is really cool. I tried to start the Year of Shakespeare project but I could not keep up with the rest of my reading.

Vir I plan to read Carrying The Fire by Michael Collins.
I don’t usually read non-fiction, but I am super excited about this one.

Kammera | 12 comments My reading challenge goes with my New Years Resolution. I had resolved to BUY no books but instead read books I have at home on my shelves, or books that I can get for free. So far, it’s going great. I’ve read several books that I’ve been meaning to read forever and have read one really old classic, Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson. I’ve cheated 2-times now. Oh well no ones perfect. Yep, I’ll be starting book 2 of the Antsy series: Prophets of the Termite God on my kindle

I do not bother to say I am not going to buy books. What I try to do is not buy a book unless I read two first. Miss ya Anne with an E

Rick Tippins | 7 comments I thought I'd get so much more done with this lockdown going on. I didn't realize the time it would take home schooling the kids.

message 16: by Vir (new)

Vir LOL I have wrapped most of my books that I plan to read this year in plain paper to help with my indecision of which book to read next. And now I don't remember what any of them were! But I just finished The Girl In Red by Christina Henry( want a book about a pandemic? ) and really liked it, and have just started reading A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess.

John Burt (johnmburt1960) | 2 comments I'm really enjoying The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland In A Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. Valente.
I became aware of it as a result of several songs posted on YouTube which referred to peculiar things, which I eventually learned were incidents in this book.

Roger Bonner (rogeralanbonner) | 3 comments I might re-read the Breaker Series, Edward W. Robertson's take on the remains of a world invaded by aliens using a virus as a weapon. Wonderful writing with warm, frightened, resourceful characters.
