I remember this one being a bit of a snooze for me. Although there was some interesting info along the way.
I liked the book a lot, myself. There was definitely a lot of interesting info in this one (it seemed like we really got into the Dream-Hunter world), as well as the introduction of the new baddies, Noir and Azura. =) Plus, we got to see more of my fave of the Dark-Hunters, Zarek. I still snicker every time I read the "Fluff-fluff" scene. :D
I enjoyed this one. I know I enjoyed it a lot more then Dream Warrior. I wish Cratus got the chance to show his more badass side. He only really did that when he had his confrontations with Zeus. Delphine wasn't that interesting to me.And like the both of you I loved all the interesting info we learn in here. It was nice to see Jared again especially in the Jared and Jaden scene. I am dying to know more about their relationship. And of course I was beyond thrilled to see Zarek. The fluff, fluff scene was definitely my favourite. Big, bad Zarek and the lamb! hehe
And the introduction of Asmodeus was really wicked. He was so funny.
And of our course the always wicked and sinister Azura and Noir were especially nice to meet. I didn't think we would be getting any other villians as good as Stryker or Kessar.
Oh I loved this one. The connection between Cratus and Delphine...I wouldn't have imagine that she was the baby he saved. I'm with you Shari-amor. The Zarek scene was my favorite. He is just awesome in all his ways.
Dude the epic Zarek's "Bob" and Astrid's "Menuoceous" or however that name is spelled debate. I love it every time.
Hahahaha aaaw poor baby. He is gonna be so confused growing up. I gotta tell ya though I can just feel he's gonna be his father's son and totally hate the name his momma came up with. lol
Ain't that the truth. Everybody be wondering who the new guy is, as he is tall like Zarek, rocks his sneer, but has a complexion like Astrid's. And when it comes down to fighting he has his dad's tried and true silver claws to work with. And they call him....Bob(batteries not included) haha.
Ah you know they will sooo be thinking it, when he is old enough to help out with some fights along the way. And of course if Nick is around, he is definitely going to be like "who allowed psycho ass to breed?" haha.
But ya know what would be even more epic. But naturally given their ages and the fact that Zarek would totally try and rip his spine out through his nose, is the likelihood of SK having wrote one of Zarek's DAUGHTERS falling for Nick and having them as a couple. Which would have been a beyond epic pairing. And to see Zarek as ANYBODY's father-in-law? HAHA oh man, what he had did to Valerius would look like shits and giggles in comparison. Most especially with a Malachai as your son-in-law.
Oh wow o.0 Let's not wish that on any dude. Zarek as a father-in-law!? It would seriously suck to be them. lol There would definitely be bodies buried around the house of any males that dated a daughter of his. His daughter would wonder why they always go missing
HAHA, well I guess that would be the first time I ever crossed fingers and prayed a character to be a lesbian, lol. Cause heck for all we know, his daughter could totally take after him. And the son take after Astrid. And then Z and said daughter would doubly be making dudes disappear that piss her off.
ROFL! Oh, I would definitely pity ANYBODY who had Zarek as a father-in-law.I really, really liked Asmodeus. He was just hilarious in his own weird little way. (I liked Delphine's assessment of him being the socially stunted illegitimate cousin, lol). I think one of my favorite scenes with him was when Jericho and the Oneroi confronted Zeus, and Asmodeus tried to act all tough, puffing out his chest until Zarek pointed out that Zeus had a nasty streak. Epic fail. XD
Astrid had an awesomely hilarious quote: "No one better than my Zarek to rip someone's head off."

The son of Warcraft and Hate, Cratus spent eternity battling for the ancient gods who birthed him. He was death to any who crossed him. Until the day he laid down his arms and was banished into exile.
Now an ancient enemy has been unleashed and our dreams are his chosen battlefield. The only hope we have is the one god who swears he will never fight again.
As a Dream-Hunter, Delphine has spent eternity protecting mankind from the predators who prey on our unconscious state. But now that her allies have been turned, she knows in order to survive, the Dream-Hunters need a new leader. Someone who can train them to fight their new enemies. Cratus is her only hope. But she is a bitter reminder of why he chose to lay down his arms.
Time is running out and if she can’t win him to her cause, mankind will be slaughtered and the world we know will soon cease to exist.
