Chilly days are here! For this mini challenge, read 1 book with a wintery word in the title, or a wintery cover! Runs from January 1st to March 20th.

Awsome Susy!

message 4: by Eileen (new)

Eileen | 1856 comments This one is a tough one for me, at least for the books that are currently on my recent TBR! I'll have to think on it.

That's an excellent book and series!

Tammy, love that series!

message 9: by Eileen (new)

Eileen | 1856 comments I just thought of one that might work! The Golden Compass has been on my list for a while, so it may end up working if I can fit it in over the next couple of months, lol!

Tr1sha | 828 comments I have Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah in my TBR list so aim to read it this month.

Sounds good Trisha!

Man of Ice, Snow Flower and The Secret Fan or Northern Magic (set in Alaska) are my possibilities for this one.

it's ya boy harv (horrorgay) | 12 comments I'd like to read The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon for this challenge, if my hold on the ebook comes up in time.

I just finished reading a collection of short stories called Winter: Atlantic Canadian Stories by Dan Soucoup.
Winter Atlantic Canadian Stories by Dan Soucoup

message 16: by Eileen (new)

Eileen | 1856 comments Interesting! I'm reading a book set in Canada now. What did you think of the short stories--they tend to be hit or miss for me.

message 17: by Rosemarie, Obsessive Reader (new)

Rosemarie | 4525 comments Mod
They were all good, except the one I had already read, which I skipped. Many were based on real events or memories.

message 18: by Eileen (new)

Eileen | 1856 comments Oh that sounds interesting--so inspired by...definitely realistic fiction then! Doesn't sound like the book is readily available--at any of my libraries or even Amazon!

It's a Canadian book by a small Atlantic publisher. Probably only available in Canada.

message 20: by Eileen (new)

Eileen | 1856 comments That makes sense. Ah well. I'm reading The Forgotten Home Child right now and it's going to be a real emotional book, methinks.

That sounds good, Eileen.

message 22: by Tr1sha (new)

Tr1sha | 828 comments I read & enjoyed Winter Garden, though I didn’t like it as much as some of her other books.

Rosemarie, your Canadian book sounds lovely.

It looks interesting, Eileen. The Kindle version is due to be published here in March.
