I just finished “This Time Will be Different” by Misa Sugiura for this one. I liked it, but didn’t love it. It was a fun read! Good history about Japanese internment made accessible to a YA audience. I’m excited about doing this challenge this year! Trying something new!

I know someone who is doing a Japan in January personal reading challenge. I'll have to see if she's read this one.

I haven't read anything by her. Sounds like a good one.

Picked this one for the title, but the reviews are good so looking forward to sampling yet another new author in my favorite genre.
CHALLENGE COMPLETE Read Water Witches by Chris Bohjalian. You can check out my review at https://topplingbookpile.blogspot.com...
This was completely different from what I'd planned for the words, but I just finished Sunshine Hunter
Maddie Cochere 1/7/20 and guessing Sunshine would be ok? If not, I have one I can read for Water. :) (Thanks for the invite, Kimberly, this makes it easier to keep track!)
Finished Daisy Jones and the Six for this one. CHALLENGE COMPLETE Looking forward to this challenge throughout this year

I loved Dairy Jones - and I didn't think I would ... actively didn't even want to like it, but I have to admit it was good. Especially the audiobook - what did you think of it Natasha.

For "water" I completed Miracle Creek by Angie Kim.
I liked it a lot - interesting book which really had me thinking about the themes after I finished.

I listened to the audio of Daisy Jones for this months challenge too. I liked it but thought The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was better.

Finished mine for this month with a hilariously disturbing (in a positive way) book! This one is not for the easily offended ;-)

I loved her books. I affectionately
describe them as the entertaining ravings of a mad woman.
Challenge Complete: Daisy Jones and The Six! I didn’t love it...I sort of felt if I was going to read in this format, I wanted it to actually be true. I warmed to the story in the end though and it still ended up with 4 stars.

I liked it but didn't love it.
I liked it but didn't love it.
Challenge complete! Very much enjoyed “In the Bleak Midwinter “, by Julia Spencer Fleming. Good mystery, and enough action and red herrings to keep me reading way past reasonable hours again.

Hmm. I've been wondering if this one was good.

For Water, I read Mystery of the Haunted Pool by Phyllis A. Whitney --I never knew she wrote young adult mysteries. I always read her for her romantic suspense.
Just finished this month’s keyword challenge, “Hello, Darkness” by Sandra Brown. Great mystery/thriller! See my review under the book details. Another author to add to my TBR list!
I just finished my book for the month Virgin River Great start to the series. I will be reading more.
I read 10 minutes and 38 seconds in this strange world, by Elif Shafak. Not my usual type of book. Wasn’t to sure about how I felt about to start with. Ended up really enjoying it. Would definitely recommend.
Challenge Complete
I read Eggs on Ice by Laura Childs. I took a bit of liberty with the word water. This is the latest in the Cackleberry Club books. Always an enjoyable light read.My blog post on it can be found https://titlesurfingwithtraci.blogspo...
My Goodreads review is here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I read an ebook.Castle of Water is about two castaways that end up in a very faraway island in the Pacific Ocean. She is a french architect that went on a belated honeymoon. Her husband died in the crash. The other person is a very unhappy stockbroker that leaves everything behind to fulfill his life dream to become a painter.
I read Let's Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir
in January. It was funny and hilarious, but it's not for someone easily offended.
Simone wrote: "It was funny and hilarious, but it's not for someone easily offended. "I agree. I hope she continues to write books. Furiously Happy is a favorite of mine.
This is what I love so much--- everyone picks such different books! It's so fun to see what you all read!
