Small Great Things, which could fall into several categories, started The Martian audiobook (a book set in space) and have A Woman Is No Man ( W in the title) on my Kindle, but haven’t started yet. Small Great Things is very good so that one has my attention. The audiobook is for the car and started that today.
1/52. Just finished “There, There” by Tommy Orange. My first book of the year turns out to be one of the best books I have ever read! I’m using it for my local author prompt. It can also be used for -hardcover , -indigenous author, -orange on the cover (in cover color and author name!), -bestseller, -book that leaves you thinking, -award winning novel, -author’s debut book.
Hi Leigh-The author of There, There is local to me too. I am in Dublin. The author is from Oakland and there were a lot of local places mentioned in the book.I read it last year so will be using Heart Break at Wounded Knee for my indigenous author selection. It definitely fulfills a lot of categories though.
Hi. I am Alana. This is my first year doing this challenge. I am starting off by reading a book by a blogger. It is called I'm Sorry...Love, your husband, by Clint Edwards.
I've read 2 books so far. W in the title: A world without you and a female author On the come up by Angie Thomas.
I'm jumping in late, but I started off with A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess. I am making a list of 52 books to read that are on The Classics List. I'm challenging myself to read from this list because I feel like I may have missed a few good books in my high school/college years. My 2nd book is The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway.
I’m reading The Subtle Knife-which could fit many places, but for now the main character is named Will, which is the name of one of my nephews. I’m also reading Hillbilly Elegy-which is educational, by an author with only one published book, and a family saga. We’ll see where that ends up. Good luck to everyone and Happy New Year!!
Skyward by Brandon Sanderson. I have been trying to get into Sanderson for a while and I hope this would be it!
