I'd add Hothouse by Brian W. Aldiss, one of the first 'proper' SF books I ever read. In the far, far future, the barely sentient descendants of humanity are given a boost when a sapient fungus forms a symbiotic relationship with some of them.
I'm maybe 50% in & it reminds me so much of the Expanse. I can't imagine this book didn't inspire James S.A. Corey.
^Yeah, I kept thinking Rosalind was right out of the OPA, then remembered this book predated the Expanse by a few decades.
