Mesa-Plateau stalked towards Malachite. Her face hooded. She regretted leaving her henchmen behind in Pyrriah, but she had no choice. Her talons itched to use magic again. The soil felt foreign here, not sandy like where she was from. She pulled her cloak closer towards her: not from the cold, but she didn't want her planned-to-be victim to see too much of his...She didn't know what to call herself. Wishgranter seemed too nice. Attacker didn't really fit what she was doing.
His eyes started to close but then he thought of his aunt queen coral ripping him apart for leaving the tribe all those years ago. He saw the reflection and whirled around.

“Hello, Malachite,” Mesa-Plateau purred. First test on the enchanted earring. Hopefully it worked. “How is your day? Is there anything I can help you with?”
So this was Malachite. That SeaWing who abandoned his tribe.
“Looks like Queen coral cannot hold on to her dragons” She smirked,

“Looks like Queen coral cannot hold on to her dragons” She smirked,
''nothing realy but wait how do you know my name?'' he asked as he fidled with his necklace. He took a step into the water to cool off. ''who are you?'' he asked in a soft voice./why does she want to help me and how?/
((Mesa wants to strike bargains with other dragons, but the other dragons usually do not keep their end of it and she gets her power back piece-by-piece is the short version of it. More info can be found on her character page (End of Pyrriah 7 or 8 page) The character arc is a RP spoiler sooooo…. Auto correct is annoying me now))
“Queen Coral sometimes makes big news when a SeaWing leaves a tribe.” This was partially a lie, but Mesa-Plateau reminded herself how that Talons of Peace dragon
Gosh, what is his name again? Flipper? Tail? Webs? Yes Webs was pretty famous for leaving his army and his tribe. That made Mesa-Plateau feel a little better about her lie not being discovered.
“And it is even bigger news if the said SeaWing goes all the way to Pantala.” Mesa continued, “Few Pyrriahn dragons go here, you know. I assumed it was you Malachite, and my assumption was correct.”
She grinned under her hood, teeth shining, though you couldn’t make much of her face. She then remembered she had to strike a bargain with this dragon.
“Are you sure you do not want anything in the world?” Mesa pressed, ”It could be many things, treasure, a pet, possibly even Queen Coral’s understanding why you left. Just name what you want, and I’ll tell you if I can grant it.”
She wanted to say how she was a wish-granter, but sealed her lips just in time. She had said too much already.

''thats me the seawing who left his tribe and came here'' he sighed. ''first what do i give you in return, how could you grant my request and what i want is nothing you can do really'' he smiled at her with his head on his talons.''unless you stay here for awhile as you can see it is boring out here'' he said mournfully.
He stared at a very large dark red crayfish climb up on his talons, he flicked it off accidently killing it.
''are you hungery or thirsty i could make tea if you wamt?'' malachite asked her looking at messa plateau with hope and joy at the fact that she would stay for dinner.
“Camel spit,” Mesa-Plateau, “This dragon is harder to convince than I thought.”
“What you give me in return depends on what you want,” Mesa continued, “If you want an earring made of gold and rubies that makes you invisible, you could just help me with an expansion of my base. If you want a poison that will only kill who you want and leave everyone else be, you would have to survive with a serial killer you do not personally know without any outside help for two weeks, etc. etc. etc. As for what I can do, if I can figure out a fair bargain, I can grant almost any wish.”
Almost immediately she thought, “No thank you.”, but then she realized she could know this dragon even more. So she nodded,
“A cup of tea would be a nice thing if you do not mind.” Mesa-Plateau replied.

"Hmm," Mesa Plateau thought about it for a minute, her hood still over her face, her black-gloved talons stroking her covered chin, "I am rather partial to raspberry tea, but I like most teas anyway, so if you do not have that, anything you make would be nice.
"Nice job with the almost-but-not-quite-flattery." Mesa congratulated herself as she followed Malachite.

"I have every tea on the continent" malachite said as he opened a cabnet full of tea bags. He grabbed two and started boiling some water. "What would i have to do to work with you? It is rather lonely and you are good company" he smiled at her.

"Hmm?" Mesa-Plateau made a sound of surprise. It was not every day that someone wanted something that would help her. She took out two scales and some weights. She placed the scales on the table. She chose two weights and put them on one side of either scale, The weights were big, but they barely tilted the scale.
"The scale helps to make sure my predictions are correct," Mesa explained, "What you want is nothing I have ever heard from another dragon. Ever. I need to calculate this."

"Hmm" he said that no one had said that before, "i have animus magic thats why i left" he said. Nervously.
"coral found out I was hiding it so she wanted me arrested, she killed my sister tourmaline for hiding hers to" he explained as he poured the tea."I thought I should tell you since what I asked for was to help you."

Mesa-Plateau nodded grimly, “That is how a lot of queens treat their animi. I was also going to be arrested for using my animus magic by Thorn. Then I was cursed in a duel that left my magic only capable of working in bargains. Your story is very tragic. I guess there is a non-magic curse on all animi to have terrible lives.”
The weights on the scales grew a little heavier, but not much.

"Jade went to prison and my parents are in queen Thorn's prison. " he said grimly "so I came here I made it so i' m unaffected by other animus spells"
"Well, there goes part of your plan" Mesa thought, "Time to be more crafty."
"Jade is another one of your sisters?" Mesa asked as she started fidgeting with with some more weights. She double checked that her scales were set up properly an she checked the weights on the scale. Everything was in order.

“No thank you,” Mesa-Plateau replied, shaking her head,“I would not want to deprive you of food. I also think taking off your erring will not be necessary, at least at this point. You wouldn’t want some of the spells that Queen Coral’s animi cast to catch up to you.”
Mesa smirked behind her hood. She didn’t need to use magic to make sure someone did their job. There were other methods of persuasion.

"Well," Mesa-Plateau said, "I am open to anything you might have. There are very few foods that I do not like."
She adjusted her scales and weights, a little uncomfortably. She took a sip of tea, relishing the beautiful flavor of raspberry. She didn't want to admit it, but this was probably the best tea she ever had in her life. She set the cup down and looked at Malachite.

“Hmm,” Mesa-Plateau murmured, “Stuffed camel is amazing, though I do not know where in Pyrriah-sorry-Pantala we can find a camel. Surprise me with something.”
"funny I have stuffed lama they are bound to taste alike" he said pulling out a dish and set it down.
Mesa-Plateau took a sip of her tea, then tasted the llama.
“It may not taste like camel,” Mesa said, “But it is very good. You are a good cook.”
“Keep going with the flattery,” Mesa thought, “You will be able to get to him soon enough.”

Mesa-Plateau forced her mouth to smile back.
"Malachite cannot see you," Mesa thought, "You do not have to smile."
The llama was gone very soon and so was the tea.
"Thank you for the food," Mesa-Plateau said, "And for the invitation."

"Thanks," Mesa said, shaking her head, "I do not want to be a bother. Anyway," she looked at her scale. The client side was clearly tipped lower than her side on one of the scales.
"I go for dinner at another dragons house and the scales already tip." She thought, annoyed, but she made her voice cheery as she said, "Well, I could grant you something small for the dinner. I do not want my scales getting annoyed with me."

The scale briefly tilted so that Mesa-Plateau's and Malachite's sides were even. It then moved back so that Malachite's side was lower than Mesa-Plateau's side.
"Very well," Mesa rummaged through her pockets, "I'll be right back."
Mesa walked towards the shores of Beetle Lake. She rummaged through the water and found a snail. It was a young snail, it would last a long time.
She brought the snail to the cabin.
"Enchant this snail to enlarge in size, but not in age, and stop unnaturally enlarging when I say stop." Mesa-Plateau whispered. She looked at the scales. She wanted to make sure that Malachite did not loose her trust. He seemed like a good prospect for helping her get her magic back to its full extent.
The snail began to grow, and the scales started tilting, still favoring Malachite, but not as much as previously. Eventually, the scales were even, and Mesa ordered "Stop."

“Any time,” Mesa smiled. She took out an hourglass. The top part and the bottom part had the same amount of sand. There was no sand running between them. She covered that detail with her talons.
Halfway there, She thought to herself, smiling.

(Oh gosh, I did not reply at all. Sorry about that.)
Mesa-Plateau realized her mistake and at first tried to turn her erase the smile from her snout. Then she realized that would only look more suspicious and the smile returned. Then an idea hit her.
Another animus, She thought, "Maybe he can get my powers back. He can enchant the curse away and I can be freed. Take that Oracle!" She felt no pity for her former friend that she had almost killed in the dual. The NightWing had taken her powers away, something that Mesa was entitled to, no, was a part of Mesa.
Mesa looked outside, and an idea hit her. SeaWings liked water, and not as much dryness. "The weather is quite fine. Do you care to go for a walk?"

Mesa-Plateau nodded, "Ah well, it is a rather hot day. I should have remembered that blazing hot weather is just right for us SandWings, but not for other tribes. Well..."
Urg. How to get this animus to behave? Then she remembered something, and mentally slapped her head for forgetting such a obvious potential weakness.
"If I may ask," Mesa said, although it was purely out of trying not to sound pushy, "Have you ever tried getting your family out of prison?"

"using my magic for something so big is risky any other way would put me in prison" he explained. "which would make my family's efforts pointless"
Mesa nodded, "Indeed, what you say is true, but what if two animuses teamed up. Would that work?"
Mesa was getting excited. If she could bargain with Malachite with as big of a bargain as this, she could break this stupid curse on her and be a free animus again.

Mesa wanted to clap her hand together, but she kept still, "Surely the queens only thought of using one animus to defend. See, yet another reason why all of the ruling powers don't truly appreciate the wonders of Animus magic. They don't even think of animi teaming together to overpower a spell cast by one."
She started rearranging her weighing scales again, eager to start the bargain.
