:) remember they can't touch in the dream

Rachel took her long brown hair out of the braid the had it in, letting the waves cascade around her shoulders. She changed into a long t-shirt and climbed into her bed, switched off the light, and pulled her comforter up to her chin while tucking herself in fetal position.

Will had a particularly long day at school, and by the time he returned home from his job at the diner he about collapsed into his bed from exhaustion. His grandparents were already asleep, and if he was lucky they wouldn't give him an interrogation in the morning. Curling up in last nights clothes he closed his eyes. But, instead of falling into his usual black sleep he began to dream, which was extremely unusual.

Rachel found herself slipping away from the reoccurring dream she had of her mother. She found herself by a pond, sitting in the shade of a tall weeping willow. She had never before had a dream that felt this real. She slid her hands across the emerald green grass, allowing some of the blades to get caught between her fingers. She decided to stand and maybe explore a little around this place when she noticed her clothes had changed, instead of her large t-shirt she adorned a simple light blue sundress, and she was barefoot. She smiled and silently applauded her subconscious' sense of style.

She arose off the ground and slipped into the bright sunlight that gleamed off the rippling nearby pond.
