I just heard this the other day. M.C. Beaton, author of Agatha Raisin and Hamish MacBeth passed away on the 30th of December. I'm glad I still have lots of books in those series to read; they are a couple of my comfort reads...

Yes was so sad to hear of her passing. I love the Agatha Raisin series for a light cosy read.
