Thanks Esther. Related question - Since publishing my last book The House on East Canal Road in January I have been inundated with calls and emails wanting to promote my book. Are they all spammers?Any advice?

Goodreads authors in other groups are reporting being inundated too and the response is almost 100% saying they are spammers. Some say even worse!

I added this line to my online accounts and it stopped that spamming: This author does not offer free review copies. Please contact publisher for vetting. Thanks.
The word "vetting" gives them pause.
I’m dropping a link hoping that it doesn’t go against the rules of this page. The purpose here is to help others, not self promote, especially since so many authors (including bestselling, award winning and indies) have contributed to this piece.
