Any other topics you’d like to discuss? Your overall opinion of the story?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I think I liked it so much that I hoped the author had lots of other great books to read.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments I have wondered if maybe I missed it, but why did Dorian's father not get him out of prison and go so far as to have him killed? That old fart was a nasty SOB.

I liked this one the best, so far.

This one is my fav of the series thus far! I love the characterizations, the development is outstanding. This author has such a talent for drawing readers in and making them pull for these dark, damaged heroes no matter what line they cross. I also love the heroines - no wilting flowers in this club!

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I agree, Sandra. You said it so well. She really draws me in and I don't want to put the book down until I'm finished. And then I'm so disappointed when I do finish! This one has been my favorite so far too.

Anita, I wondered too since his father was so awful, why he didn't get Dorian out of jail. Since he loved torture so much...

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1812 comments I too love this series for the excellent characterization and realistic portrayals. It is definitely not light and fluffy!

Hamish Sr. was an evil man. Perhaps he viewed Dougan as being weak for allowing himself to be caught and sent to prison or perhaps he didn't want the secret of Dougan's real identity to reflect badly on him.
