This is a cute story. No other way to put it! I love that the dog is the narrator and that he and the cat are friends. They and the family are portrayed as pretty realistic (taking away the dog's ability to write!) and that adds to the pleasure of reading.
Once I finish Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with the kids, we will start this. They have seen it on the shelf and they are excited to read it!
Started with the kids last night - the most confusing thing to them is how a dog could be telling a story! :D
