Not sure if it's the best way to start but it's the way I'm starting!

Tanya Price | 1 comments I’m a huuuugggeee Terry Pratchett fan!! Mort is as good as any to start. I hope you enjoy it!

Benjamin (beniowa79) | 6 comments Mort is actually a good place to start because it's the first one that really has the style that Pratchett uses for most of Discworld.

Suzy (suzy_gone_readin) I've just finished, it was my first Pratchett too. I've always been a bit intimidated by the Discworld but it really did seem to be a solid introduction to the universe. I thought it was good, not great overall. That said, I'll definitely be picking up another Discworld novel in the future (particularly as I'm no longer quite so scared!) Not sure I would have dived in without the motivation from this challenge to do so, so thank you!

Rebecca Mort is a great place to start and very funny! I will never get the image of Death in a pink apron petting a kitten and holding a greasy spatula as a short order cook at a diner out of my head.
