Another great memoir I really enjoyed was Proud by Ibtihaj Muhammad. It's about her journey to qualify for the Olympics in fencing, and it was great! I'd also suggest any of the memoirs/autobiographies by the athletes on the US National Soccer team (Carli Lloyd and Abby Wambach each have one)
They're called Forward and When Nobody Was Watching if anyone wants to check them out. I haven't read either but they look interesting.
Just a reminder - don’t forget to post suggestions! I really want to get the third round going as soon as possible (not to be annoying), and biographies are the best :)
also: I know Salk is doing memoir book clubs (this was a random coincidence) so Salkies I understand if you don't want to read our next book with us. (We would love it if you did though!!)
I just started reading this really great and funny memoir called ‘Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?’ By: Mindy Kahling (she was Kelly in The Office). I think that’d be a really fun read for the book club!
WARNING: This comment is a joke. Funny books are the best! One problem with funny books: it’s so awkward. When I was reading Born a Crime, I legitimately laughed out loud in homeroom and it was quite awkward :)

If I’m not mistaken, I believe we have started a thing where we have a genre for each month. Unless any strong objections are made, I’m pretty sure we said this month would be dedicated to biographies/autobiographies/memoirs. So, I ask that y’all give bio, autobio, and memoir suggestions!
I, myself, would like to add two books into the mix: Born a Crime (Trevor Noah’s memoir) and Just Mercy (Bryan Stevenson’s memoir). Both are incredibly powerful and definitely are worthy of a cycle! So just check ‘em out and see what you think!
Would love to hear your suggestions! :)
