Name: Joshua
Time Zone: UTC-07:00
Activity Level: Often
Why You Wish to Be a Mod: So that I can help with plot development through close examination and constructive criticism. I also like creating a friendly space for people to role play.
Why You Should Be a Mod: I have had lots of experience being a mod, and I've learned all the ins and outs. I also have a lot of knowledge of grammar and spelling. So, if any of those problems arise, I immediately notice and fix them.
Roleplay Sample: Looking up, he saw the student who had approached before was still in the room. Aiming carefully, Josh threw the ball lightly then kicked it with enough force and precision that it came tumbling through the air and nailed the student right in the head. He stumbled a few feet and then slipped and fell on the very fruit punch that Joshua had spilled before.
Grey happened to be there, and he bust out laughing, along with Josh. High fiving Grey, Josh exclaimed, "Like the DOW Jones, he goes down!"

KT (queenlykt) Name: KT

Time zone: Central

Activity Level: So much. Can get on school and stuff

Why You Wish to Be a Mod: I think that this is a really clever idea. A lot of elemental groups are earth, air, fire, water, etc, but I haven't seen one like this before. Since I want to be a pyrotechnician which involves SO much chemistry, I was immediately intrigued and love it.

Why You Should Be a Mod: You know me! I'm a star! ANYWAY. I'm a closet grammar nazi, and people that misspell and things like that bother meeeee...... D: I'm a mod of a lot of different groups (Though admittedly many are mine) and am expert at HTML.

Roleplay Sample: *Le finds my best one*

Name:
Nova, Taylor, Ellie, Bitchtits; take your pick..

 Time zone:
I'm Scottish, NOT BRITISH. So UTC+00:00

 Activity Level:
I vary really throughout the week, if I have internet I will be on 24/7, but if not then you may have to miss me for a few hours, or a few days.

Why You Wish to Be a Mod:
I would like to be a MOD because I definitely see a lot of potential in this group and with proper formatting and such it could be a big hit. It's a unique idea in itself as someone previously stated, elements of the table. Clever you!

Why You Should Be a Mod:
I think I'm a committed user of Goodreads, I am an avid roleplayer also so you know, you wanna scene, I'm always game. My grammar is somewhat decent or I'd like to believe so anyway! I have previous experience in modding various groups, some of which I have actually owned and have been marginally larger than this one. I'm dedicated when it comes to keeping the threads clean of any spam and will put in the time and effort to read someone's character instead of simply skimming it. I'm sure there are other reasons, but I'm being lazy seeing as I'm in the process of packing.

Roleplay Sample:

This is off the top of my little blonde head, so be gentle with me.

I stood in the middle of the room, my ice blue eyes a painful comparison to the burning light that surrounded me. I slowly turned in a circle, I was completely encased in this wall of scalding heat.

I could feel my lips tugging at the corners, my hand tucked neatly away in my jean pocket. My thumb caressing the cool metal that resided in there, kept out of sight but always within touching distant. The cold metal was soothing against my increasingly heated skin. I scraped my free hand over my face, wiping away the layer of sweat that coated my face, body and arms.

Smoke had already began to billow around me, they said that tended to happen when you used an accelerant, didn't they? My eyes hurt, the thick black smoke hung heavy around my head, forcing me to my knees as I choked and gasped for air. Blinking away the tears, I was shocked to find myself backed into a corner, the ever advancing flames dancing wildly in my direction. I remained focused on those brightly coloured flashes, they seemed so alive, so beautiful. It was a shame they were thought so lowly of, I mean fire is a main reason humanity has survived this long.

"Beautiful things are always dangerous Freya." My mother's voice echoed dimly in the back of my mind as the room began to darken.

I groaned loudly, a white pain pulsed through my shoulder as I glanced round my equally white room. I fucking hate hospitals.
I winced as I pushed myself off my front and into a sitting position, frowning at the fact I had to remain somewhat hunched to prevent any pulling on my tight healing burns.

"I see you're awake," sighed a tired sounding voice, I rolled my eyes silently before zoning in on the owner. I drank in the familiar blonde hair, the high set cheekbones and ice blue eyes, all of which I shared.

"Thank you, yes, I'm healing well." I replied sarcastically, slowly moving to face this woman directly, she seemed older than usual, perhaps it was the fluorescent lighting that highlighted the dark bags under her eyes, or the way her lips were drawn tightly together.

My mother frowned at me, giving me that all to familiar glare, the one that usually followed with the line.

"Don't Frey, just don't."

I waved my hand at her, dismissing her scorning without a seconds thought. She was the last person I had expected to see this morning, if it even was morning. "What do you want Ma?" I asked, not caring if my tone came across as bored, because well I was.

She got to her feet and headed to the door, I almost thought she was about to leave before I saw her only pop her head out as she whispered to someone on the outside. I craned my head forward, cursing my curiosity as pain shot through my shoulder forcing my head to spin.

"Frey, this is Douglas Abury . He's from the Social." Ma stated, pointing to the man who now entered the room. He was quite tall with rather startling red hair paired with a squirrelly moustache. Douglas Abury smiled vaguely at me, it seemed as if he meant it but I didn't return the sentiment, can't be too careful when it comes to social workers.

"Hello Freya, I'm Douglas. I'm lead to believe you're currently not in any education, am I correct?" The man asked, glancing away from me to look at some file he held in his hand, I knew they weren't medical related as those files still remained at the end of my bed. I nodded vaguely, quirking an eyebrow in this mans direction. Where was the guy going with this I had no idea.

"I've been appointed your case worker, and I've glanced over your criminal record. It's quite extensive for someone your age, young lady." I snorted at his words, but he didn't stop. "You're more than likely to be placed into a juvenile detention centre, but I've been looking around and I might have found something that could help."

What was the guy getting at, seriously I hadn't the foggiest. My mother seemed to though, she was nodding along to whatever he said, giving me a stern look now and then to be sure I was listening. Step-dad three is about to be recruited, you watch this space. I hadn't realised I tuned out until I heard the words "Dunmore Academy".

"The school has said they're willing to accept you, so long as you stick to your schedule. That means attending all classes and your counselling sessions." Douglas finished, giving me an expectant look, his dark eyes scouring my face for a reaction. He must've came up nothing as he continued, "It's either that or you will go to jail Freya."

Well given that suggestion, I don't suppose there was any real choice. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.

Roxie Nighthade | 22 comments I decline my application for being a mod! Sorry!! But I should really live a life, and not be on GR 12 hours a day! Plus I need to sleep pretty soon! Getting only 4 hours sleep everyday is pretty tough lol I still love this group!! :)

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay, Roxann, before I can consider your application, I'm going to need a RP sample.
