I'm well into the higher mountain. Here is where I am now.(9) “The 7th Mourner” Dorothy Gardiner 1958 (3/5)

Next, I like my kitty's photographs handy with me. My young guy inexplicably perished from a natural cause, on July 31. I haven't been the same since. He was our sturdiest cat, had never been sick, and has been one of my children since I saw their birth. I miss him every day. His Mom, sisters, and brothers are doing very well and someday, I will too. I'm taking with me at this last level, a caring and helpful poem P.J. gave me. http://life-after-loss.com/for-grief-...LOVE RIEDEL
We cherish you, our dear sweet, son! September 7, 2010 to July 31, 2014.
My young boy, 'Love' atop our highest shelf. Cute at 11 months old. [August 2011.]
We kept finding Lovey around books. At 2 years-old, he toppled a storage trolly.
I laughed at the spill of paperbacks and considered this tableau artistic.
These were published before either of us were born! [September 2012.]
Here is Lovey at nearly 3 years-old, beneath the same shelf of our library/cat lounge.
There is a sidewalk between it and our house. [Aug 2013.]
Lost our dog of 12 years a few years ago. The grief is awful. Because you see them every day. Many of our dearly loved relatives, we don't see every day as such an intrinsic part of our lives. It leaves a hole.
I wish I could say "thank goodness for a long life" but this was 1/5 of my boy's lifetime and in one day. Perfect to dead in 9 hours. (A natural cause, too major to stop). However as you know and I do too from our 21 year-old a decade ago; the physical separation is sad no matter what. How long until you were happier remembering him than sad? Yes, I lose distant relatives regularly and it's "oh well, they were nice". I won't lie! ;) Along with your very well-put reasoning, I think it's also tough because for many, our relationship is parental with our fur babies. It does so much good to read your note. Thanks a million, Julie! Warm thoughts of your dear dog too. I hope you have great pictures, like I'm grateful to have in 4 years. My heavy shutter finger was a God-send!
As time went by it was better, but what really helped was getting a puppy, similar to him, but not juat like him. I would have sooner, but my husband wasn't ready for 6 months. Yeah, i have a picture of him on my camera that i have left on there after i deleted my other pictures after downloading.
Of course. No child (in my role) can be replaced, which is why I miss Love's uniqueness. He's good-looking, isn't he? I'm trying to get past the unfairness, of him not being old. But his Mom, sisters, and brothers are with me. I can keep enjoying the Earthly connection with them.
Interested in seeing where I keep my physical books, the only kind I read? I put a lot of time into a duo of posts at my blog! Anyone may share, or treat these as a gallery tour and just comment on them. I would be thrilled to have your reactions. That is why I post anything! :)http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2014/12...

P.S. My upcoming Scottish ones are in post 1: some glimpsed among a pile on the floor (*shrug!*) and also in the slim teddy bear pile.
If Amaryliss' boyfriend weren't insecure and whiny in this story, the feedback would be higher.(11) “Scone Cold Dead” Kaitlyn Dunnett, 2008 (4/5)
If folks read anything remotely mystical or paranormal, "ETHEREAL 2015" is up!I toast to a wonderful year. ¡Salud! https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/ethere...
For all of us who like finding matches for our wide array of creative titles:"GENTLE SPECTRUMS 2015" is up! https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/gentle...
I will indeed re-join Scottish readers for the third time. I haven't thrown in the towel on this level but look forward to reaching higher quantities next year. January is when I'll have a moment to sign-up for groups. My third reading theme is posted too. I welcome everyone to "My Kind Of Mystery 2015".

Thank you very much! I'm thrilled I made it! Everybody: in Manitoba, the sun is just setting on 2014. I took a photograph of it. Sunsets are splendid here. In some ways this was among my worst years but there are moments and loved-ones worth remembering. I might as well capture that sunset for always, sentimental that I am to think of it just in time, as I saw it out this window. God bless each of you, animals and all. Yours Truly, Carolyn Of RIEDEL Fascination.
I added all twelve of my reviews at the blog and am glad to have finished. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/riedel...
I don't think I have time for groups in the coming year and will exit soon but will re-join Peggy's theme via blog. I hope to have all of you at my challenges too. All mystery fits and my other two themes cover other material. I have news. One of my participants is a specialist in numerology and tarot readings. She is donating a choice of these, as a finale prize in "Ethereal"!I'm happy to share that before I go. My blog will furnish information. It's been fun talking about books with all of you. xoxo. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/riedel...

You're welcome! I replied to your query at "My Kind Of Mystery". I'm puzzled about linky buttons and text looking tiny, since I switched to Google Chrome as a web browser. Explorer was too old to view most webpages, the reason I struggled so much. But you can't get a newer version on XP and I'm not ready to switch. Much of what I use becomes obsolete. For those who say "download new versions of your ware"; I'm on dial-up slow speed! *Sigh*The conclusion is: everything looks right in editing mode but what we view on finished pages at "RIEDEL Fascination" does look tiny. The buttons are there; beneath each book's photograph (just for show), right below the alphabet letters identifying the range each linky handles. http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/mykindo...
FYI, I'm mostly ready to make the switch to 'win 7' but I have to completely reformat (which means delete the harddrive and bring it back up with this operating system). There's a glitch on our PC that we will correct by doing so. But reinstalling from a blank harddrive is no fun so I'm double-checking that I have everything I need and will see that my 2015 reading groups are rolling along well first. If I had trouble with any major part, such as internet connection; I couldn't be reached. So, I'll take that plunge when the coast is clear. Until then, Google Chrome appears to be responsible for webpages looking small, or if not that's the way the cookie crumbles for now.
I do have an idea for making the linky buttons show better, for signing-up in as well as reviewing for the remainder of my groups by February. Whatever the bizarre cause was for the small text and nearly invisible button changes; I'm going to implement my idea today. A good thing I know my way around computers and the internet enough to drum up technical ideas!
My reviews get updated here, should folks like to read them. http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/reviews...http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/reviews...
I will reprise my well-sprinkled sampling by blog, where I can be found to stay in touch. I am grateful my precious cat, Lovey was here 8 months of 2014 and his Love helped me through the rest. Happy new 2015, everyone. Carolyn. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/riedel...
A nice note upon which to close. Today is the closely-estimated birthday we chose for the Mom of our four youngest cats; our dear white Love included. Interesting and poignant, the last set of photographs taken of him in July are with his tiny orange Mother. Odd personal trivia: from September 7 to January 7, she is the same age as her babies. Today she rises to age five.Happy fifth birthday to you, our sweet MARIGOLD!
