I just finished The Doll Factory by Elizabeth MacNeal. Has anyone else read it? I’m not certain what I think of it yet; there were many twists and turns that I am still thinking about. :).

It won the Caledonia Award. The characters are fascinating and the time period/research she must have done to make everything cohesive is impressive.

I read it last year and really loved it! Though I agree, there was a lot to think about and it was fairly different to what I thought it would be. I remember dithering over 4 or 5 stars but in the end it got a 5 from me, so I guess I was pretty won over :)

Drama Sylum | 3 comments I just finished Ice Twins, set in Scotland. (Does that count? It even had some Gaelic in it!). SK Tremayne, British, wrote it.

If you like a good mystery/thriller with a few surprising twists, you might want to try this! It’s very messed up. :)
