Ruby walked to the lumber mills and started hacking at the wood doing the only job to feed her family.

Ruby walked down the street noticing how empty it felt with reaping day that came and past, her family fed and happy but the entire district just felt emptier and more work was put on her.

Amalena walks down the street, her hand on one of the small daggers her mother gave her before she died. The pine trees stand tall before her as the last words of her mother flicker to mind. “Remember Lena, you are stronger than any other tribute. If anything happens. Make them burn for it.” And that’s what she was to do one day. Make the people burn for what they did to her family

Indie sits in front of her television watching the games. She couldn’t wait.

“Pft. Idiot.” Lavina mumbles.

Like indie, Lavina wanted to be in the arena already. Indie had wanted to get it over with, but Lavina wanted to fight.
