Science Fiction (runner up - FF P1) vs. Urban Fantasy (runner up - FF P2)Science Fiction:
Burning Up FlintThis was good and a surprise. Cube of romance was definitely not on my radar. This was hot but really did do a good job of making the cyborgs more human.
I think I will continue on with this series at some point.

Second Grave on the LeftThis was really funny. I loved how kick ass Charlie was. I didn't love how dependent she seemed on Reyes, but I guess I'll have to get more into their relationship as the series moves on.
I read this first book of this series a while ago and then never got around to this second book, but I read it for a challenge, and I'm so glad that I did. I love the snark, the loyalty, and fierceness of Charlotte Davidson, and I'm looking forward to see what she gets up to next.

Broken Dove didn't fit what I thought an Urban Fantasy was supposed to be so I went searching for a definition and yes, an Urban Fantasy could be set in a historical time, but is usually based around a big city and I didn't find that here as much as I would have liked. That said I enjoyed this story much more so . . .

WINNER - Science Fiction
While neither really fit what comes to mind first when I think of the themes, I can see how other people could consider them as fitting the themes. So for me it comes down to pure enjoyment and I really enjoyed Festive In Death more. I like the mystery better and loved all the family/friends interactions.

Sofia - i'm not seeing where Gathering Blue is shelved as romance (not on the first page of genres) which is a requirement
Hi Ezi,Dee's post
She asked us to just post our winner once (either in our original post or in an update post so that it's not confusing for her when she's counting the votes).
:)
