Terry ~ Huntress of Erudition | 504 comments Please use this thread to post your nominations for our group discussion for January 2015:

message 2: by Angela (new)

Angela Rohde (angelarohde) | 72 comments I would like to nominate A Tale of Two Cities by Dickens. I haven't read it in such a long time and would really like to read and discuss it with this group. I've started it a couple of times recently, but haven't continued for whatever reason. This would encourage me to do so!

message 3: by Carmen (new)

Carmen Ordaz | 2 comments I agree with Angelah on A tale of two cities, I need to read Charles Dickens.

message 4: by Trudy (new)

Trudy Brasure | 95 comments I'd love to read Shirley by Charlotte Bronte.

A Tale of Two Cities sounds good, too. :)

message 5: by Carol (new)

Carol (goodreadscomcarolann) | 116 comments I am nominating The Ladies' Paradise by Émile Zola-- 438 pages.

message 6: by Glenna (new)

Glenna | 109 comments I would like to nominate The Awakening by Kate Chopin by Kate Chopin.

message 7: by Allison (new)

Allison | 8 comments I am nominating Far From the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy since there is a movie coming out this year and I want to read it first.

message 8: by Leda (new)

Leda | 15 comments Allison, we read Far from the Madding Crowd in April or May last year. I second The Awakening.

message 9: by Raymunda (new)

Raymunda (raymundaj) I would love to read The Awakening!

Terry ~ Huntress of Erudition | 504 comments Allison, if you want to read "Far From the Maddening Crowd", you can look at our discussion from May 2014 and add your thoughts - we keep the discussion threads open so people that read it later can say something and someone may respond.

message 11: by Allison (new)

Allison | 8 comments Oh great! Then I will jump on the nomination of the Awakening.
