Hi! I'm Lora :). I'm excited to do this challenge for 2015 but I'm not gonna lie, I may or may not do this "in order". lol
Marsha: There aren't any rules, but the purpose of the challenge is to broaden your horizons! I probably won't reread any books unless it's been 5+ years. I guess we will see how it goes!Lora: I would love for everyone to go in order so we can all discuss the challenge together, but it's not a requirement! I have created folders for the first ten weeks, so feel free to post whenever you have read your books. I'll be updating the group page very soon and making sure everyone knows that this is supposed to be fun :))
Hi!! My name is Amanda from NYC! I am insane to do this when I'm getting married next year but I love to read and this will be an amazing distraction from wedding planning stress. Looking forward to it!! :-)
Amanda: Wow, getting married? Congrats! This is an insane challenge to do while wedding planning, but I bet you can do it!Kathy: Hey Kathy :) Welcome to the group!
Adriana: I hope I can keep up, too! ^_^
Hi, I'm Taylor and I'm a senior in college (this spring being my last semester).I'm looking forward to doing this challenge and getting into the habit of reading more often!
Hi! I'm mikaela. I absolutely adore a good challenge and cannot wait to get started.
Taylor: Hey I think I know you! ;)Bailey: Glad to see I'm not the only college student crazy enough to take on a challenge. Welcome!
Mikaela: Welcome to the group!!! Go ahead and jump right in. :)
Hey Jessica ( or Taylor, whomever reads this first). I was wondering if it would be possible to switch the 'book published this year' one with a later challenge? That way we have more time for books to be released...having it so early makes it feel difficult :/
@Lora, Jessica is currently out of the house having a girls night with a friend. I'll run it by her but I definitely think that's something we should do!edit: We decided to just make it a book from over the past year (2014). I hope this is okay with everyone!
Lora: Clarifying what Taylor said, we are just going to stick with books published from Jan. 2014 to the time of that weekly challenge.
Hi! I'm Kristin and I have been looking for a book club with some type of random read every week/month and this seemed like the perfect one! I'm a college student as well so I may or may not be able to keep up, but it's a new year and I want to start reading again!
Hello, my name is Erin and I found this book challenge on popsugar and challenged my best friend to see which one of us could complete this challenge by the end of 2015. While doing a google search to gather book ideas for the challenge I was lucky enough to stumble upon this group. I won't be reading the books in the same order but aim excited the be able to discuss the books with others and get suggestions through this group.
Hello nee year! I'm excited to attempt your challange Jessica. I'm a slow reader so I will have to manage my time well! Hm, now where to begin...Merry Christmas! I'll be back here in the new year!
Hi, I'm Luisa and i live in Brazil. I found this challenge in Popsugar a few days ago, and i'm really excited to get started. :D I don't have much free time, since i'm doing my master's degree and it is really taking all my time. But I will do my best! :DMerry Christimas everyone!
Hello! I am so glad you started this group. I saw the list on PopSugar a week or two ago and decided to make it one of my New Year's resolutions. I was having trouble finding books for a couple of the topics so this will be helpful! I won't be following the list week by week as I am in two book clubs and am not sure if I can make it work. However, I will definitely be reading all of the topics. Thanks again!
Welcome to the group Hannah! It's fine if you don't follow week by week. We know it can be difficult. (Taylor and I are both in college!) Whenever you do read a book for a certain topic, just post in that week's thread! We will be so happy to discuss your read with you. :)
Hello from the chilly northern California coast! I just stumbled across this group when searching for 2015 Reading Challenges on Goodreads. I had come across an article via the site Book Riot and wham bam ended up here. I have had a Goodreads account for some time but always let it slide. I look forward to this challenge to get me out of my norm.
I'm a newlywed (married July 19th) and I work retail part-time. I am also busy keeping our apartment somewhat in order...tho it's not fully in order to begin with. Here's hoping I don't drive myself insane!

Hi y'all! I'm Tara and I am from Tennessee. I am very excited about this challenge! I am an avid reader, and I tend to have trouble settling on what book to read, and this will solve that problem. Can't wait to hear what you guys have to say about what you are reading. I can't think of a better way to get introduced to some amazing authors that you would have never heard of otherwise.
Hey there, i saw the challenge on popsugar and i'm really happy to see this group on Goodreads. I'll try my best to follow as much as I can but I have another bookclub on twitter 1book140. I'm looking forward to see everyone's choices of books for every book ! I love to discover new authors and genres.
Hi! I saw the challenge on Popsugar too and thought that I couldn't do it cause of the long list of genres I don't read usually (plus a busy year). This group will help me a lot to discover new books/authors and maybe to complete the challenge (I'll probably check several categories with one book and won't read in the list order).
I'm from France so I'll have a huge choice for the "book set in a different country" but I'm not sure I'll succeed to find one which "takes place in my hometown" :D

Hi, I'm Camilla from Finland and addicted to challenges, LOL! Jessica/Taylor: would it be possible to get a discussion topic where everybody could copy the task list into their own message and make tentative plans on what to read for each week? Maybe this already exists and I just didn't find it? For me the planning part is at least half the fun.
Jessica wrote: "Camilla that is a wonderful idea!! I'll create one now. :)"Great, thank you Jessica!
My name is Cheyanne and I'm really excited for this challenge! I mostly read suspense novels so this will be a nice change for me :)
Hi, my name is chyanne. I'm from Washington, I love to do book challenges I read a lot of books, but I hope with this challenge I will find some book I would not of normally read. :)
Cheyanne and Chyanne! What a sweet little coincidence. ;) Welcome to the group! This reading challenge has been a great opportunity to expand my reading horizons! It sounds like you're both planning to do a little of that too.
TJ wrote: "Thank you for doing this, Jessica!"Thank YOU TJ :) Thanks to Michelle, Zaz, and Taylor as well. Don't think I could stay sane without them.
Well, already 1363 members Jessica. At 8000, I think you could authorize yourself to be a little insane!
Zaz wrote: "Well, already 1363 members Jessica. At 8000, I think you could authorize yourself to be a little insane!"If we get to 8,000... I don't know what I would do. I'm already starting to panic. STOP MAKING ME PANIC!!! :P

I bet that's so true! So I thanked all of you individually on your individual threads! You all rock!
Aww, you guys are too sweet! It speaks to the amazing community we have in this group and I love it!
Michelle wrote: "Aww, you guys are too sweet! It speaks to the amazing community we have in this group and I love it!"Giiirrrlll get off my thread. :P
I love this community, too. I never imagined its success
Jessica, thank you for starting this group. I had planned to do the challenge anyway but it's so much more fun to participate in a group.I am a retiree living in IL and have set a challenge on goodreads to read 140 books this year. But we are expecting our first grandchild in April and do a lot of traveling so that might not be possible!

I'm a college student so I don't have a lot of time on my hands. I really have no idea how I'm going to keep up with this, but I will try my best. Of course, it's a group effort. ;)
There are a few weeks that I am *not* looking forward to (erm... poetry?), but I'll do it anyway. I'm really excited about the thriller week. It seems to be up my alley! I typically read science fiction and fantasy if left up to my own device. I enjoy reading Lois Lowry a lot.
