Monkeewrench series by P. J. Tracy
Another series I have been meaning to read for so long. I am on book 2 so will get that read before April. And of course my library has none of them on audio.

Read the first two in the series when they first came out. Might well revisit them in the near future.
I love this series...Gino is one of my favorite characters ever! But I wasn't too happy with the latest book (before that, all the ones are great though.) #3 is TO DIE FOR!Oh and I agree about the audiobook. Buck Shriner does an amazing jobs with all those male voices.
Tracey wrote: "But I can't get it on Audible!"Too bad! Here in the US, they are all available in audio.

Here's the link for the April discussion.

I might join in on this one. I read the first two also. I think I did. Was the second one that one about the jewish or holocaust survivors? I only have a vague recollection of it to tell the truth.
Is it ok to come in at #3 or is it a storyline that continues from the first 2.I must admit that I tend to get frustrated without all that background info, but if it is separate cases it might be all right.
I think it's very important to read the first book in this series. I'm not remembering that the second was important in terms of story or character continuity, but I could be mistaken. The first, though, isn't one I'd skip.
Hmmm....
Just noticed that this buddy read is also set up in the Shelfari M&S group. I don't believe everyone here is a member of Shelfari.
Please weigh in.

I'm a member of Shelfari, but I don't mind discussing the book in both.

I have made the decision to move forward with just Goodreads. I did not have the time to dedicate to both sites. I am finding this much easier and manageable. I'm also starting to like Goodreads better. *gasp*
My thoughts.....From memory I thought that the discussion for the Monkeewrench series was set up here first so I feel that a discussion should still take place here. Fair enough if the guys on Shelfari want to discuss it as well but I cannot contribute to both so I hope that the discussion will at least continue here.
Thanks Melissa and Tracey. I'll proceed here accordingly.
I'm almost 50% through and chilled to my bones!!!!!

Oh it has your heart racing!! I look forward to discussing it.

Tracey, I was a reluctant convert and now I love it here. Things are much easier and now that we've figured out a workaround for book discussions, I'm pretty happy.

I'm pretty certain I'll have to find a way to finish this today:)

I also find the shelf easier to navigate around.
I had to sneak in a NG book...but will be starting Dead Run today and will be joining discussion on here.Once I started to get the hang of the discussion threads I was sold on the convert. I do still miss a post here and there but I'm sure by next year I was be a pro lol.
FYI, if you edit "you are following this discussion" and change it to "all" you'll get the contents of the message in your email.
Thanks from me as well. I will get to them but I have guests coming over after work today so it may be tomorrow (Tuesday) for me.
