If you find a way to get through the hatch in the floor, you’ll find the hidden basement. It’s bigger than the actual house. It’s clean, with a few beds and blankets, a table, a shelving unit for food and utensils. You can tell someone’s been living here for at least a week.

Daegon drops down, landing effortlessly. He walks past the dead potted plant on the table to the shelves and grabs a water bottle.
Len rubbed his jaw, dropping down after Deagon and heading towards the deep freezer. He muttered about eating some red meat before throwing the lid open. “Can you start the oven.” He simply said. “Zen’s about to drop-“ he chuckled. “Idiot gave this man a bunch of clots in his heart.”
Len examines a package before shrugging and tossing it into a pan and putting it in the oven. “Alright let’s see.” He rubbed his hands together, forcing the remaining kinetic energy in his body to his touch. “This should speed it up-“ his hands hit the hot surface and the oven dinged. Smoke poured from within and he chuckled. “Definitely.”.
Daegon looks away in disgust, sipping his water. The only person he could handle was Carson, but all they wanted to do was sit outside in nature.
Lean chuckled. “Lighten up will ya?” He joked. “ s’long as I kill those sonnova-“ he held in the next words. “People,” he calmly said. “That kilt my family, you can do whatever you’ve been starving to do to ke since day one.”
Len plucked a plate out of the cabinet and he snorted, “yeah, I know who called those idiots to start the massacre. Her name’s Claries. Used to be my sister’s friend.” He rolled his eyes. “Never really understood girls and their “forever friends” crap. They’re just kind’ve, two faced.”
Len rubbed his face, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Coward’s living in DC right now- and thanks to the last mission Zen and I set out on- we know she’s visiting this city in a few weeks.” He cracked his neck. “We know what hotel, what floor, and what room she’ll be in. The brat screamed and cried until she got her own room, far from her family.” He rolled his eyes.
“Right... and you’re going to help with that?” he asks, leaning against the wall and staring down the plant on the table. Another leaf crumples into dust.
Len rose a brow. “I figured you just wanted Carson, seeing as how they are the only one you really like.”
Len chuckled. “Wow, I’ve never felt so honored.” He rubbed his jaw, shifting the plate in his hand. “Well, yeah I guess so.” He looked at the steak he held with its plate. “Zen might take a day or less to store up his energy- those idiots that followed us did a bit on his power.” He lifted his gaze to his.
Daegon finishes his water and throws the bottle away. “I wouldn’t want to you die..” he said. I mean, he does want him to die, but not right now.
“I’m going back upstairs. Don’t tell me if you need anything,” he mutters. Daegon climbs up the ladder to the room above.
Daegon nodded, rubbing his temples. “Night, then.” He took a sip of water from a water bottle and looked away.
Daegon leaned against the wall and slid down, bringing his knees to his chest. His hands rested on his head and he closed his eyes.
A small tremor occurred followed by an abrupt stop. It repeated two more times. Tremor stop. Tremor stop. It was Regan’s signal that something was wrong.
Regan sent more danger tremors down. Now they were short but strong bursts. She needed help and fast.
Daegon sighed and stood up. “I’ll be back in a sec, stay here,” he says to Carson, and leaps up the ladder and out the door
Daegon walked down the stairs, his pants clean and dirty no longer. He drinks a bottle of water, not realizing how hungry and thirsty he’s been.
Regan woke up and yawned. She stretched and stood up. Time to go meet up with Reaper. She thought to herself. Regan listened for a moment, and then created the doorway. She stepped out into the basement and looked around, closing the passage behind her.
Daegon sweeps his hair back, grabs a granola bar, and leaves the safety of the basement and house and into the forest.
Daegon sat at the table, eating a granola bar and drifting off into space. He felt more comfortable down here then up on the surface, surrounded by living things.
Elvis jumps down the stairs, skipping 3 steps before hitting the bottom. She looks up at Daegon and crosses her arms.
Elvis narrows her eyes and looks around. I want to hide under the blankets and die she thinks but says. "Nothing"
Daegon finished his granola bar and threw the wrapper in the trash. He leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes tight.
Val came in as well, her teal dress stopping mid-thigh. She’d deviated from her platinum blonde, and her hair was now black, with two purple streaks. She displayed it in a high, messy ponytail. She examined everyone, arms crossed sceptically.
“Hi there.” She said, raising an eyebrow.
Daegon’s eyes opened and he looked to everyone. He was having a hard time with it, but tried to hide it with a steely gaze.
Val leaned against the wall, not intimidated in the least by all these baddies. She observed everyone, taking note of what they displayed.
