The Plot to Save Socrates -- a time travel story to Athens and surrounds.
The Just City -- Athena creates a city modeled on Plato's The Republic. Not Athens, per se, but perhaps its idealized form.
If anyone wants a heavy side-read, this is the version of Thucydides to get: The Landmark Thucydides: A Comprehensive Guide to the Peloponnesian War. The Landmark editions of historical texts add a lot of maps, side-notes defining archaic terms, etc., which make the material clearer.
I'll be curious what others suggest.

Hmm... I was intended to find some story that set in Athens. Should be a lot of fantasy works about Greek out there. I haven't looked yet.
OK, a quick search gave me this

I hope you enjoyed Foundation as I do. Such a powerful and fast-moving story in one small book!
This month, as the world is grappling with a pandemic, we will be reading a book about bunkering down with rationing food and oxygen. A bit of a cruel joke. But moreover, Andy Weir's The Martian is about hope and resilience, which is in dire need these days.
Next month we will have the Boston Marathon, a huge deal in this town. Correspondingly, our April theme will be "Athens". Because Marathon is a battle fought by Athens and Boston is dubbed "the Athens of America", duh.
I will send the book poll around the usual time.
Until then, stay alive, and enjoy reading!
