Sasha (sashahamel) | 64 comments Hey, everyone! I realize that Round Three is just ending but it’s never too early to read, right? :)
Last round, all of the suggestions were biographies, autobiographies, and memoirs. Did you guys like having a genre restriction? Or was it annoying? If you did like it, what do you think our next genre should be? Or should we delve a bit deeper into memoirs, biographies, and autobiographies?
Let me know! :)

P.S. Sorry if this sounded too commander-ey :)

Sasha (sashahamel) | 64 comments *this sounded commander-ey

Lilah | 9 comments i didn’t mind the genre restrictions but i also wasn’t the hugest fan so whatever you all want i’m cool with!

message 4: by Noa (new)

Noa Bloom (noa_bloom) | 72 comments Maybe we could do a children’s classic? I am up for whatever you guys want though! I also know that March is kinda a stressful month this year, so I totally understand if you guys want to change things up (maybe read something short, or easier)

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

honestly, i think that with the stressfulness of this march, a reason that i have to buckle down and get through a book would be a good thing. children’s classics sound good! (for those of you who are like i don’t wanna read a little kids book, i mean things like Little Women, I Capture The Castle, Alices Adventures in Wonderland, etc)

message 6: by Sasha (new)

Sasha (sashahamel) | 64 comments Interesting. I’m not totally sure how I feel about classics...I guess we’ll find out!

message 7: by Lilah (new)

Lilah | 9 comments i really like that theme, noa!

message 8: by Sasha (new)

Sasha (sashahamel) | 64 comments Me too! I’m excited! One thing: does that mean we can’t read 1984?

*cries in Orwellian*

(Just kidding, children’s classics sound great!)

message 9: by Noa (new)

Noa Bloom (noa_bloom) | 72 comments So how about we start suggestions? I would love to read the catcher in the rye or Alice in wonderland!

message 10: by Noa (new)

Noa Bloom (noa_bloom) | 72 comments If you guys want to do any classic I would be down with that!

message 11: by Sasha (new)

Sasha (sashahamel) | 64 comments Hey! I have a really long list of classics I'd like to read. Bare with me.
-The Great Gatsby
-Animal Farm
-Catcher in the Rye
-Lord of the Flies

message 12: by Sasha (new)

Sasha (sashahamel) | 64 comments Okay, maybe not that long :)

message 13: by Sasha (new)

Sasha (sashahamel) | 64 comments And exactly none of them are children's classics...my bad...

message 14: by Lilah (new)

Lilah | 9 comments the fault in our stars?

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

the fault in our stars isn’t really a classic, but we can absolutely hang on to it for another round.
here are my suggestions:
-i capture the castle
-alice’s adventures in wonderland
-little women

more might come to mind and i’ll update accordingly

message 16: by Sasha (new)

Sasha (sashahamel) | 64 comments Little Women is great!!! But be mindful because it's really long so extra time may be needed if we select it.

message 17: by Lillian (new)

Lillian R | 2 comments I would love to read
Alice I’m wonderland
Little women
And animal farm
But would prefer not to read lord of the flies as I already read it in class and didn’t enjoy it that much!
Can’t wait for the next round!

message 18: by Isabella (new)

Isabella | 12 comments I have already read little women. It was a hard read, but if you guys want to read it I would definitely have stuff to pitch in to the conversation. Same thing for lord of the flies. I would be interested in reading the catcher in the rye though :)

message 19: by Sasha (new)

Sasha (sashahamel) | 64 comments I’ve also read it, it’s really great!

message 20: by Sasha (new)

Sasha (sashahamel) | 64 comments (Little Women. I haven’t read Lord of the Flies.)

message 21: by GhostChildRen (new)

GhostChildRen | 16 comments I think Little Women and Alice and Wonderland are both good choices, but I would be fine reading anything.

message 22: by Sasha (new)

Sasha (sashahamel) | 64 comments So it’s a no on The Great Gatsby and Animal Farm?

message 23: by Sasha (new)

Sasha (sashahamel) | 64 comments :)

message 24: by Isabella (new)

Isabella | 12 comments Yeah I really enjoyed little women! I think alice in wonderland would be good too. I'm not sure if I want to read animal farm just yet. The great gatsby i'm fine with, though!

message 25: by Noa (new)

Noa Bloom (noa_bloom) | 72 comments Hey guys! For round four I think we are going to need to read digitally (on a phone, kindle or other device) because the nyc public libraries have shut down. If you have a copy of whatever book we choose or belong to another library go for it!

message 26: by Sasha (new)

Sasha (sashahamel) | 64 comments You can also always purchase it if you can (from Amazon or something)!
