Xavier walked into the class. He was looking forward to this class because he practically was an element. He sat down and waited for some other people to show up.

Cole sauntered in. He was skilled in this class and was really bored. He wanted to think about the weird thing that happened in the lockers earlier. Jenelle was fine but the girl named Ash, was she alright? Cole wasn't sure why he felt this way but he felt protective of her

“Hey.” Xavier said, and nodded to the boy.

[Sorry, this is going to be really bad bc he is the only boy I’ve RPed! XD ]

Cole waved his hand to the boy that he didn't know. He wasn't sure why he was waving to him when he had never seen him but ever since he had saw Ash and Jenelle, he was going to try to be kind. He never wanted to see anyone with the pain in her eyes.

Xavier looked around the room. It looked like a crazy classroom where every element was represented.

Cole looked around at everything. It wasn't the best thing. His eyes brightened at an idea. Walking over to the boy, he sat down next to him. " Hey" he began than stopped. How could he say what he wanted to? That he wanted to know about this random girl?

Xavier looked over. “Yeah?” He asked. This new kid seemed to want to ask him something, but he stopped.

[Oooo! Does he like Ash?! That’s so sweet!]

[BTW, Xavier and Ash are friends. So if Cole mentions her name, Xavier will know who it is.]

" Well there's this girl" he began again. He paused for a few moments wondering how to put it. " Her name is Ash" he said simply. He didn't know what else to say without sounding strange. How would he say it without sounding like a stalker

Xavier instantly perked up. “Ash? Yeah, what about her?” Somehow this guy knew about Ash and wanted to talk about it. Realization dawned on him. Oh no! What happened this time?! I knew I should’ve gone to the lockers with her!

[Is that enough?]

" Well she had this look in her eyes" he said painfully " it was so sad and I wanted to help but I didn't know how" it took him a few seconds to hear how he sounded. Cole facepalmed. Great he though That didn't come out right

Xavier looked at the kid and nodded, completely understanding. “Well that’s Ash for you.” Xavier said under his breath. Then he said louder. “You know what? Don’t worry about it. Ash is tough. She won’t let anything bother her for long.” Then he added silently I hope...

" Her eyes had so much pain" Cole said " I didn't know what to do" he looked t Xavier. " How do you know her?" he asked after a thought. He had never asked that

“Yeah, she is going through supine pretty hard things right now, but she’s strong. She won’t let anything take her down.” Xavier looked out the window. “I’ve known her for years. Honestly, I don’t remember a time without her. Trust me, she’s tough. She has, can, and will get through anything.”

" Oh" Cole said a bit put down. Ash already had someone to help her. She didn't exactly need her. " Alright then" he said a bit put out. He had thought that she would he need her help but it seemed that she didn't need it. Cole plopped down on his seat and looked at the teacher trying not to show his disappointment. He wasn't necessarily.

Xavier saw his look and his tone turned soft. “The best thing you can do for Ash right now is just being there for her. She could use all the encouragement she can get.” He was silent a moment. “We need to be there to protect her if things go wrong. We need to stand up for her when she won’t. We need to support her no matter what. Usually, she won’t defend herself. Won’t fight back. Won’t ask for help. We need to be that help,” Xavier looked directly into the boy’s eyes. “Will you do it? Will you be there for her?”

Cole hesitated despite his wanting to help out. " Well" he said " What if she takes it wrong way?" Cole liked Ash but he wasn't sure to want degree. Ash seemed like a fighter and he hadn't wanted himself to seem like the wrong kind of guy. He didn't want his first impression to be a freak guy who was a flirt

Xavier laughed. “Don’t worry. Ash isn’t that kind of girl. She doesn’t care about any of that stuff. She is just really stubborn and needs some friends to help her through the mess she’s in right now.” Xavier face palmed. “But watch out. Don’t let on that you feel sorry for her or she will get scary.” He laughed.

Cole was relived by Xavier's words. Ash seemed like someone who was cool-headed. " Who are her friends?' Cole quired hoping to get more information about how to approach Ash. He wasn't sure how to do without getting yelled which would be emabrassing since his status here

“Well, last I know, it was just Melody and I. That was this morning, but she might’ve attracted a few more!” Xavier laughed.

" Now she has 4 friends" Cole said sighing, running his hand through his hair. He wasn't sure what else to say as he had way more friends. Ash just seemed like someone who would be fine Serenity's level of popularity or her's right now

“Four?” Xavier asked surprised. How could that have happened? Ash was quiet and she never really talked to anyone. Did something happen? “Who are the other two?”

"What do you mean?" Cole asked confused. " That's not a lot he pointed out to the boy. Did Ash used to have a lot of friends?

[Wait, where did he stop talking?]

“Yeah, I know it’s not a lot, but it’s more than usual.” Xavier sighed. “Ash never was popular and she never had friends. Honestly, I don’t even know that much about her past. She never talks about it.”

That made sense. Cole sighed. If she was so introverted how would she get along with him who was so outgoing? This wouldn't turn out well. Cole sighed, why were girls so complicated?

Xavier shook his head in dismay. “I’m not saying that she doesn’t try making friends. She’s just too...weird...for some people. She just doesn’t always click with other people very well.” He laughed. “She takes some getting used to, but once you know her, she totally opens up and her true colors show.”

" I thought she was really nice" Cole protested. Ash was a nice girl who had a big heart. Cole didn't understand how.

“Don’t get me wrong, she really is.” Xavier explains. “But she’s like a magnet where there is a north and south side. While most people in this school are north, she is south. While you may think those connect, if you flip one around, they don’t attract. In reality, they repel from each other. When that happens, people reject her right away. But if someone takes the time to get to know her, they will find out there’s a hidden side to her. One that attracts.”

" But I'm north" Cole pointed out softly. " I'm Cole" he admitted running a hand through his hair. There he said it. He wasn't in the same league as Ash and didn't know how to approach her. He had already managed to see the jealousy of girls

“The north can always meet up with the south.” Xavier said softly. “You just have to find the right side.” He could tell that Cole wanted to be friends with Ash, he just didn’t know how.

" But it must be forced" He pointed out sadly. " I'm not going to force her" Cole stood up. " I'm getting my list for my match want to come?"

Xavier nodded and stood up. “It would only be forced of you make it to be.” He turned around and made his way to the door. He stopped and added. “Find the hidden side, and you’ll see how amazing she is.”

" Alright" Cole said heading off to get his list. He didn't know who he wanted on it. Amelie? jenelle? Ash? Maybe Lara? Lara was nice.

Xavier followed close behind. He didn’t know who he would get and he didn’t really have a preference. He was only going to check out the lists and who he “possibly” might be matched with.
