I really want a good excuse to read my "Wonder Woman by George Perez, Vol.1" TPB, so that's my nomination. If that's too big at 14 issues, please consider changing my nomination to "Wonder Woman, Vol.1: Blood" by Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang.
I'd like to nominate The Prince and the Dressmaker, it's in my wish list, I can't remember how I got the recommendation, but it must have come from someone who's opinion I trust.
Is it possible to suggest our own book, Metaphrog's Bluebeard if anyone is interested in reviewing it? Sorry to be so forward, but it will be published in the middle of a pandemic.

Your expected publication date says May 5th, but this nomination is for the April Book of the Month.

My nomination is Snow, Glass, Apples by Neil Gaiman and Colleen Doran. (Note this would be the 2019 edition as it was previously published with a different illustrator)
Pedro wrote: "I second Wonder Woman By George Perez Vol. 1!"I do not see how this fits the theme "a retelling of a fairytale or folktale". I have not read it, so maybe it does fit the theme, but I don't see how.

Perez's run brought a lot of Greek mythology into the book. If you consider that folklore...

As long as it meets our criteria, sure!

Ooh, I've had Fables, Vol. 1: Legends in Exile on my shelf for way too long! I'll second (or third or whichever number we're on at this point) that nomination. :)

Fables is always worth a re-read. I'm working my way through the series for a third time now.
Sara wrote: "I just read Heathen Volume 1 and it was so good! It has lots of Norse mythology and vikings in it. Heathen would be PERFECT for this theme, it was a book of the month last fall. Ooh but Sara you can nominate volume 2 and then have an excuse to read it IMMEDIATElY - and make everyone else read and talk about it. It's even better than volume one!
I'd also be so happy to reread Fables. It's been a loooong time and I never made it through the whole series.

Titles nominated this month must be a comic or manga that features a retelling of a fairytale or folktale. Examples would be Hellboy, Fables, and Pretty Deadly. If you have any questions or concerns, please send a message to mod Kait, who is happy to help. You can find the complete 2020 theme calendar here.
Remember:
- Manga nominations are welcome.
- Nominated titles must be TPB comics or original graphic novels, but not omnibuses.
- Only the first volume of a series may be nominated, unless the group has already read the previous volume(s) as a book of the month. To see what we've read, check out our group's Book of the Month bookshelf.
- Nominated titles cannot have the same writer as the previous month's BotM winner. This month, that's Julie Benson.
- Nominated titles must fit the month's theme. To see past and upcoming themes, check out the 2018 theme calendar, 2019 theme calendar, and 2020 theme calendar.
- Only one nomination per person.
- You can "second" a nomination in place of nominating a different book, but this will count as your nomination for the month. Seconded books will receive an additional chance of being selected in the randomization process.
- If a title you nominate wins BotM, please refrain from nominating another title for one month to give others a chance.
