The poll is now open.

Make your suggestions for May's pick here (or on Discord) to be included in the poll. Please include a link to the book's Goodreads page if possible. Also, keep in mind that this is a genre romance book club, so try to pick something where a relationship is part of the story. Look through our bookshelf to see the kinds of books we read.

The poll will go up around April 15th and will end April 30th. All suggestions must be over 100 pages long and have over 100 star ratings on Goodreads. For more information see The Vaginal Fantasy Poll FAQ.

The theme for May will be "Early 20th Century". Nominate for your favorite romance novel set between 1900 and 1950.

Ris | 12 comments This theme was more difficult for me - everything I am usually interested in reading was either set way, way too early or in present day - but I found one! Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Set in 1927 Mexico (GR). Romance isn't a Main Page Genre, but 56 people tagged it romance (really hoping the H is the Mayan god of death mentioned in the précis!).

Rhonda Jones | 41 comments Tightrope by Amanda Quick, aka Jayne Ann Krentz, is a romance and and suspense set in the 1930's. I have not read it yet, but I have bought the book and it is my to be read file. It has 213 reviews on Amazon with an overall 4.5 star rating.

Heather | 2 comments I have read Gods of Jade and Shadow for my Sci fi book club. The book is good fantasy but the "romantic" aspect is unrequited and not the type I think most of us in this book club are looking for.

We do get a lot of feedback on the Discord about the lack of sexy times and the tendency toward YA. I guess the only solution is to nominate spicier books.
