Maximilien was in a fairly good mood as he entered the ballroom, smoothing down his suit jacket as he waited for the girl he had asked to be his date to the ball. He was used to balls, of course, and he was used to everything that was currently going on. Besides, he was excited to see Celestia, and he had bought her an excellent present indeed. It was an excellent present indeed. He had had them make it specifically for her, so that no one else on the planet would have one, which was what he was excellent at.

Celestia quietly walked in and looked around with wide eyes. "Holy... Big place..." She whispered to herself, spotted her date and ran over. "I'm here! And probably late?"

Maximilien glanced over at her and shook his head, not really bothered by the time of her arrival. "No, no, you are not late at all," he answered after a moment, smiling at her. "And you look gorgeous. I have brought you a gift." He brought out the small box containing the necklace for her and smiled.

"It's beautiful!" Celestia smiled. "I love it, thank you very much,"

Maximilien smiled slightly at her response to the gift. He knew that she was going to like it, if mostly because he was excellent at buying gifts and everyone always loved whatever it was he got them. "You are welcome," he answered her before offering her an arm to take. "Now then. What would like to do first?"

"I have no idea..." Celestia replied, taking Maximilien's arm. "What would you like to do?"
