Maybe just bad timing for me. I began this book on January 6th. Too emotional on the day and the days that followed the desecration of the Capitol. Willing to retry, but not right now. On a completely separate path, I just can't get into Trent; the repeat of same times through different characters just made it slow. Maybe I needed to listen/read the series in order. I know Slaughter is an immensely popular writer.
